Time I talked more about Mrs. Goodspeed and the early fam (Still don’t have a name for her)

Goodspeed Headcanons incoming:

- Gary’s mother worked at a bar/restaurant, she was new to town as well. John met her while he was out celebrating with his friends. It was love at first sight. She wasn’t very interested in opening up, but John knew in his heart there was more to her. Every time he came back to the visit he’d make sure to say hello and try to begin a conversation with her.

- The Infinity Guard members were finding it hard to believe the growing hero had really fallen in love with somebody, as John’s had many short flings with other women. But John made it quite clear this was the one. Everybody became invested in this little love story as some had noticed his dream girl was smiling a little more wider around him.  

- John’s heroic ego and confidence may have fizzled when he tried to ask the girl out.

- Being a commander and a member of the Infinity Guard, John was always away, sometimes for a few weeks on missions. Sometimes Mrs. Goodspeed would be worried about him, and was aware some missions could be dangerous, so she did her best to keep Gary distracted and happy. When little Gary sees that hover car come in the drive way he goes ecstatic, “Daddy’s home” is a huge deal to him. 

- Gary loves that fact his fathers an infinity guard hero and he really wants to be like him when he grows up. Sometimes tries to mimic his father. Gary made his own space superhero ‘suit’ and loves roleplaying with his dad if he gets the chance. Sometimes the WHOLE family joins in for Garys epic theatre.

-John sometimes brings home little treasures for Gary to keep and he keeps them all in his room and hangs up all the infinity guard posters he’s given. 

- Gary’s mother knows how to fight, don’t toy with her.
