Hey there! What are some of your favourite headcanons for the Horsemen?

I think my top favorite one, which I believe is a general one, is that Death used to raise those three idiots on his own. They've been a family since waaaay before, and I really think that's a wholesome idea to think about.

Another is that Death used to be crushed on so much when he was younger and he damn well knew it. He was a heartthrob and that can only be the result of a subconscious influence from Lilith, which I think is what intensifies his hate for her even more. Not to mention that he MAYBE shares some facial traits with her, which is a good explanation if he truly was a womanizer at back then. Yet another reason to flop on a mask and yeet himself in the pit of regret and depression.

Baby War. Every single headcanon about baby War. A pouty, innocent, often bullied-on boy who can't even brush his hair, but can and will wrestle a wyvern to even get the SLIGHTEST nod of approval from Death. I like to think that trait never disappeared. Also, young War as the shortest and smallest Nephilim kid ever existent? You have to admit it's a perfect plot twist. And some explanation for the fact that War loves big armor.

Nerdy inventor Strife. I still imagine him as a giant nerd with a giant garage filled with books, sketches and failed attempts of inventions and THOUSANDS of gun mods. You know how * spoiler alert * Death came up with the Grand Abominations? What if Strife kept that talent and nourished it, but with actual honorable intentions? Also, he collects stuff and no one can change my mind about that.

Sorceress teenage Fury, sneaking up to steal Death's books to read up all the spells she can find. Sorceress teenage Fury making tents accidentally explode. Sorceress teenage Fury using her telekinesis spells to make people she didn't like hit themselves with their favorite weapons. Sorceress teenage Fury appearing at the surface in adult Fury whenever she finds a randomly cool spell. She can't sit still and listen to Death drone on about the ancient and glorious battles of the Makers and Nephilim, but she can hide under her blankets and read up on magic books until the crack of dawn. Also, can you imagine her giving War noogies behind Death's back? I can.

I also share a headcanon that Death taught his siblings a few of his moves as they all grew, like a spinning blade or kick, and adjusting training for each based upon body shape/size, center of gravity/mass, and weapon type. However, as a last resort, every one of his siblings are proficient in some sort of blade, and he teaches them to always carry one on their person.

Oh hell yeah. I always imagined him at first refusing to even remotely help his three little, miserable wards (adolescence angery hormones maybe), but let's be honest, Death is probably one of the most compassionate Nephilim that ever existed. It's only a matter of time before he develops a soft side for a certain creature and will help it, however grudgingly. I imagine he started doing that while his three brothers always somehow showed their eternal admiration and idolizing for him, and that fuzzy warmth in his chest grew with every day. He started showing them little tricks at first, like how to breathe properly when fighting and how to focus, but his lessons always developed proportionally with his growing affection for them. With his vast knowledge with almost every imaginable weapon, no doubt he taught them to fight with everything and let them develop their talents with his/her favorite weapon. However, I like to imagine that unlike his fellow Firstborn, he also taught them separate subjects to fighting, such as math, basic engineering, history, literature and forging. I mean, how else would the Horsemen solve all these damn puzzles? =)

Honestly, given his penchant for sneaking off, I bet he’d also sneak onto the scene as well, just to startle people and practice his skills. One moment, he’s absent, you look away, and the next, there he is. If they jump even the tiniest bit, he’d smirk, but otherwise wouldn’t react at all. He practically radiates a silent, smug “ha, got you.”

Imagine a 1700 year old teenage Strife, sleeping and lazing around peacefully all afternoon in his tent, and he just blinks once and bam, Death's face is above him, smirking darkly with that "oh so you're not doing those things I told you to do?" look in his eyes, a hand suspiciously high above with his palm facing Strife's cheek.

Since we know War and Strife both have the ability of Shadowflight, imagine Death actually learning them to use it back they were still tiny maggots...

... by yeeting them off a cliff.

Imagine Death being the type of Firstborn that yells at Nephilim children if they don't stick to curfew

And having a reputation for that

Then sneaking out with War, Strife and Fury and laying on the grass as he tells them gore stories about the origins of random star constellations

Young Horsemen Headcanons

- Death trying to educate his brothers (unlike his fellow Firstborns) and being really proud and happy that it's working

- War being in awe watching Fury's hair and attempting to touch it only to get his arm brutally thrown away

- Fury mocking Strife for his reading, only to get curious and ask him to tell her all the stories and legends he encounters

- Strife begging the Makers to let him watch them craft something before Death would quickly drag him away, apologizing profusely

- Strife darkly glaring at Death whenever he refuses to spend time with his younger brothers in order to have fun with "nephilim his age"

- Fury bashfully asking Death to teach her to main a sword just as he taught War

- War loving to spend time with Death and skipping training or sneaking off to do so, much to the other's exasperation and affection

- Strife finding the rest of his brothers admiring his sketches of Redemption and Mercy, weapons he long planned on creating

- Death receiving a red cloak as a gift from a Maker he once saved, then giving it to War and chuckling softly at the other's big eyes and excited grin

- Fury having to had a sword as a main weapon before she acquired Scorn and often watching War in jealousy as he manned it better than she did

- Death not controlling himself and bursting out laughing whenever seeing Fury pout in anger

- War claiming to everyone to grow stronger than Death ever would be, then watching his reaction each time for confirmation
