Give her a moment, she needs to pick up an atlas and flick right to the middle, pointing at a random line. “You see, I would…” wait for it, “…had you not dragged us to the middle of god fucking knows where!” Abigail hates Mystic Falls. The place makes her skin crawl, makes her hair stand up on end, makes her feel unsafe in the very worst of ways. “There isn’t anything here to make sunshine with, let alone any actual sunshine.”

Abigail frowns, just for the briefest of moments. “Paige. The hell is wrong with you?” her sister appears to be visibly draining, pallor grey and sickly. The blonde will admit to being just a bit scared, taking a few steps back from her younger twin. This is unheard of, and Abigail won’t admit that she hates not knowing what on Earth is going on.

“Okay, just … just stay there. It can’t be any worse than what you’ve normally got going on. So don’t panic or anything.” casual sarcasm drips from her words like poison, not truly directed at Paige, but rather a defence mechanism that she can’t keep from activating. She’s frightened. And when Abigail gets frightened, the wall goes up.

She’s safe.

Nothing can hurt her behind the wall.
