Considering it had happened to him before, severing War’s arm had been surprisingly easy. Oh, Uriel’s balance was ruined, and it would be some time before she could fly with ease again, but in the here and now she suddenly found herself with the upper hand.
Bleeding too heavily to live long, War had no choice but to lash out with his false arm, hoping to end the fight before he was unable to continue. He needn’t have worried: Uriel would never allow a warrior like him such an ignoble death.
Unsteady, but faster and with the greater reach now, Uriel dodged the wicked edge of his gauntlet and lunged, plunging her weapon into the biggest weak spot in his armor-- the hole left by his missing arm. The blade came out his other shoulder, knocking the pauldron off with its force.
She yanked upward, cleaving his neck and head full in half and showering her in blood. And so fell the youngest of the Four Horseman.
