I love that I can use the small text option to make just part of my post small- I really wish the big text at least or all of the other text options allowed me to do the same, to only change certain words or phrases, rather than all or nothing

A little good news and a little bad news here. First, the good: we would love to do this too, as luck would have it. Consider it duly noted on our proverbial to-do list.

Could we follow our own blogs again? I know we create content for others, but we create first and foremost for ourselves and I would like to see my own content on my dash.

Also I would like to get notifications for my own posts. Notifications are important to keep my blogs organized.

As luck would have it, you can already accomplish this via the Inside Tumblrs setting in Tumblr Labs, which follows all of your own blogs and puts them in your Following feed.

I would love the option to change our vote in polls.

I follow things like ‘am i the asshole’, where sometimes we get updates that change the whole story, so changing my vote to reflect that would be helpful.

There are times when I’ve accidentally voted while scrolling, so even having a short delay where you can change your vote before seeing the results would help.

I'd like to suggest the Tumblr ad-free browsing option also come with a profile badge, either the Tumblr Supporter Badge or its own custom one

Don’t worry, we are working on something like this. And the good news is that it will be opt-in, no matter what we do here.

Something else that may be of interest to you: we surveyed a big ol’ chunk of y’all about this, a special badge for subscribing to Ad-Free, and the resounding feedback on that was negative. People, quite literally thousands of them, really do not want to show off that they are subscribers, except explicitly with the Supporter badge. Even then, not everyone turns that on. They simply use it as a way of sending us some financial support.

With this in mind, we have tried to keep our work on badges as something more fun and not as status-driven. And there will be news on this pretty, pretty soon.

for my birthday I would love it if you let us pause videos

Good news! You can, as it happens, pause them by long pressing the lightbox in mobile apps. On web, normal video controls are available. 

On Android, you can tap on the video in the lightbox to show or hide normal video controls, too. This is not the case for iOS, however: sadly, normal video controls are not available there at this time.

Hello! What are the chances of a paged view being added to the mobile app? I use it on desktop, and it's really great for saving my place and making sure things don't get lost with unintentional reloading or anything like that. Given that doing things on mobile is even more fickle than in a browser since apps are unloaded in the background all the time, I think it would be a great help.

However, we totally agree that losing your place is a big problem, and it’s one we’re actually dedicating time to fix these days. While we hope to have good news for you before long, it is a tough nut to crack. But we need to make that better, so you don’t need pagination as a workaround.

Hello!

For A/B tests, has the thought of rolling out a simple pop-up survey after the "settling in" phase(one that can let users know they're in a testing group, what the test is, and ask them to rate their satisfaction with the change), been thrown around at all?

Satisfaction surveys for features being tested are industry standard, and other than WIP here(only open one day a week) or Feedback tickets(which VERY few people know about or have the desire to do), there doesn't seem to be ANY way for staff to measure quantitative CSAT!

We actually do qualitative surveys like that from time to time—but this is a process separate from the quantitative work of an A/B test. We often don’t want to do a survey during an actual A/B test because it may influence the result, depending on the size of the audience in the test.

As it is, we already get a huge amount of useful feedback from Support tickets, and we are on the platform reading what y’all are saying! Thanks again for your feedback—it is much appreciated, and it all helps.
