“Peeling Potatoes” may pay more than you do

“Cover Letters are as fun to read as peeling a bag of potatoes, so let your personality shine through, and tell us why we should really, honestly, choose you.” Dear prospective employer, I wish to work for you so that I may earn less than a person peeling potatoes might earn, despite my numerous skills I acquired over the years of expensive specialized education and talents I honed while working at other paying or non-paying positions. I have been working and volunteering so I may get to the point where I can get paid $2900 per month in a city where the average rent is $2100 + hydro + internet + phone + transit + clothes + equipment + massive student debt + taxes + medical expenses, and well, groceries & eating...I guess.
In a nutshell, I would like to work FOR YOU. In the sense that I will *LOSE* money working FOR YOU.
Also I am glad you do not discriminate against so many categories. Do you also not discriminate against people in poverty? As that’s what I’ll be a few months into working for you.
How’d you like that honesty?
Please pick me. Yours,
#whyourindustrysucks
