I just wanted to say how I love your writing, I love ASOUE as well but the way you write is gorgeous. Have you got any writing advice?
You're too sweet, thank you so much! Sorry for taking a few hours to respond to this, I had to have a bit of a long hard think on how to give some decent writing advice that didn't amount to "drink a glass of red or two and write whatever 🤪". The more I think on it though, the best advice I can give is to just write, write even if you think it's going to be bad, write even if you don't plan on showing it to anyone, the simple act of doing it is the first step in trying to improve. It's a skill after all, some people it comes more naturally than others but it's something everyone can do with the right amount of practice.
As for tips to do with the actual writing itself, synonyms are your best friend - they keep you from reusing the same words over and over and have the potential to class up your prose depending on how obscure or fanciful you get with your word choices.
Also, another word of advice: if you do write any stories and post them publicly it is worthwhile getting someone to beta read your drafts. I've never had a beta reader and I cannot tell you how many times I've gone over my fics months later to find an embarassing spelling mistake that I didn't otherwise catch during every other time I've proofread it. You may think you'll be able to catch every mistake yourself but trust me, sometimes your eyes gloss over it and you don't notice, especially if you've been writing for a few hours.
