Darien is the cub that most resembles Bigby, whether it’s on his appearance or personality. The cub is more wolf than any other of his siblings, having the wilderness and the courage that his own father possessed. Darien is also protective towards the other cubs and has a strong sense of leadership that made Bigby trust in him as the alpha of the pack. His relationship with Dare is very close, as Bigby teaches him the wolf manners, and he keeps stronger expectations towards Darien. That’s because when the tragedy of his death happened, he felt guilty for putting so much responsibility and expectations on his son.
Then we have Ghost. As being a Zephyr and not having form, either human or wolf because he is literally made of wind, Bigby was the first to acknowledge the presence of the kid as he has some powers over the wind and could sense his presence. Ghost has a violent and unpredictable nature but also is protective and sweet as he is still a cub like his brothers. Bigby and Ghost are close but due his form and nature, Ghost has a different treatment from all his other brothers because he doesn’t need his parents in many aspects, being more independent and mature.
Winter is the one that most resembles Snow such as in appearance as in her personality. She is strong, independent and stubborn and Bigby likes it. He would go anywhere to keep her safe and he hated when she had to take the crown as The North Wind, because she was still a kid and she wasn’t ready. He stayed as long as he could by her side until eventually, Winter gathered North’s Wind wisdom and true powers.
Therese is the princess of the house. She is spoiled and very different from both of her parents and his siblings, as a child. Bigby tried to teach her the wolf’s manner but Therese didn’t show much interest in being wild and big and bad. She wanted her crown, her dolls, and stuffed animals to play inside of the house. Because of that, he saw her as his little princess and I guess that this is one of the reasons why she was the most spoiled cub of all seven, until the Toyland events where she had to grow up too fast.
Blossom looks like her aunt, Rose Red and unlike Therese, she has a very strong taste in being a wild force of nature and enjoys to stay in the middle of the wolf plays with her brothers. Bigby and Blossom have this really sweet connection where he plays with her and is a father, but also a friend to his wild little daughter.
Connor shares similarities with Snow in his appearance but he is crazy for his dad’s approval of his ways. He wants to be just like Bigby and it frustrates him because as the inner wolf in Dare comes easy, for Connor it’s still a little difficult to show that he can be big and bad too and unfortunately he is taken aside from Bigby and it frustrates him. Bigby and Connor have a complicated relationship, not because Bigby loves him less but because that constant need to gain Bigby’s approval that even Bigby himself is unaware of ( but he will, eventually and it will get better between them).
And last, there is little Ambrose, the cutest and sweetest of all seven cubs. Ambrose doesn’t have NOTHING like Bigby, although he really wants to be as brave and strong as siblings, he is a sensitive little guy who prefers to stay indoors, reading books and playing with his toys. Bigby doesn’t judge him for that, he never did it but he encourages the kid to face his own fears with responsability. Bigby is very protective towards Ambrose because of how he is more likely to get harmed than his brothers and he enjoys to stay some time indoors watching movies with little Ambrose, as much as showing him that there is nothing wrong with him from not being like his brothers, on the contrary.
In resume, we can conclude that Bigby loves his kids UNCONDITIONALLY. He would give up on his life to save theirs, he would hunt ANYTHING and tear it into PIECES just to provide them safety. The kids and Snow are his weak spot, in some sense of way. He will lose his shit if something ever happened to them and lose control of his inner monster, absolutely.
