Tidal’s light footsteps and heavy breaths were the only things filling her ears; not a breeze, and not the brushing of leaves; but herself, just like it’s been the past months. Sweat beaded over Tidal’s skin as the Georgian sun beat down on her, Tidal irritably tugged at her hair, as it once more fell in front of her eyes.
All movements stopped, and breaths grew quiet as a noise was made not too far behind Tidal; her hand immediately went for her gun, whipping her head around, the teenager held the weapon in front of her. But all stopped as her eyes laid on someone; not a flesh-eating monster, but a human.
