Sudden Realization

Clara-Mun's Note: Last night, I dreamed of mine and yourunclerudy's muses being adorable at the beach and I made a drabble out of it.

He was watching her and not just because of how good she looked in that little bikini of hers. That was actually something he was trying as hard as he could to ignore this. It had been eight months now since that first date that had ended on such a bad note. After that, they had decided to just be friends and it was proper fine most of the time, but it was hard to think friendly thoughts when they were both in bathing suits.

They had decided to take a trip up North on a minute's notice; the Maitlands were off on vacation themselves and so they had just decided to go home for the weekend. And of course, they had found themselves at Pleasure Beach.

They amused themselves, eating crappy food and going on rides. Clara wanted to go swimming and so, they went swimming!

After a near hour in the cold water, just pushing and dipping each other, swimming very little, Clara made her way out of the water to one of the little stands to get them sodas. That's when she walked up to him; a gorgeous blonde nearly falling out of her bikini top and she was flirting! Who was he to deny her some of that old Uncle Rudy charm? He flirted right back.

He could still see Clara standing in line, waiting to get their sodas. That was when the pretty bird by his side asked him: "So, me mates and I are having a party tonight, do ye wanna come?" She paused for a second, following his eyes before resting her hands on her hips and clicking her tongue. "Unless yer girlfriend won't let you have fun."

"No, no, no, no, no, love! Clara's not me girlfriend. Not at all. She's just a..." The sentence died on his lips and his eyes trailed back to the short brunette in the red swimsuit waiting in line to get them Tangos; she wasn't just a friend. He felt an involuntary sheepish smile pulling at his lips and he abandoned the blonde there without another look.

He walked all the way to where she stood, as if there was nothing else around. He tapped her on the shoulder and before she even finished turning around, his arms closed around her as he bent at the waist to kiss her.

"I've waited 8 months for you to do this," she whispered against his lips when they were forced apart by the impatient patrons behind them.
