the voice is
you ever heard the old saying that “there is often more said than done”? well in today’s day and age we have made it so that saying becomes doing. this, traditionally, isn’t and cannot be true for some. for others who tend to see the power of their voices, who see that their talking moves many to action this couldn’t be truer.
we are moving towards a society where your voice is the most powerful tool in the inciting and directing of action. a society where hastags, social media trends, and shared articles are moving more and more people to activism. so much so that what started as an embedded thought among black people and their closest friends has become a mantra for self-love and self-regard. it is a simple affirmation that proclaims #blacklivesmatter.
so when considering posts on social media platforms, we all must realize that our voices and opinions could be shared by enough people to make us leaders of the next trend, social justice movement, political campaign, or slander campaign. your voice is powerful, and important.
that is the essence of this blog, treble en blak. the high-pitched and hued voice of mine. some people will resonate with what i think and say, some won’t. what’s important is to know that like yours, my voice matters. my vibrations and energy matters. the voice is powerful. the voice is the catalyst of new activism.
what will you say today? what will you speak against? for? how will you wield that voice of yours to create a change in your world. turn up your treble; the symphony of actions require your input
