Why so weary? Why so scared to be seen? That’s what I want in friends. To be inspired to wonder. Who is she?
I kinda love that Joe took Love’s last name too. They’re BOTH the Quinn-Goldberg’s instead of her just having to hyphenate her name.
Ok I need to vent…(‼️SPOILERS AHEAD‼️)
It’s been a good 24 hours since I finished season 3 of ‘You’ and I cant get that final episode out my head.
Were Joe and Love doomed from the jump? Indeed. This show is such a mind fuck because Joe and Love are in reality horrible people, but I find myself rooting for them and wanting them to have a happily ever after. They both are HOT AF, but then I have to get beyond their hotness and remember what they really are.
The thing I can’t really get out of my head is not that Love died but HOW she died. This stung more than Beck. It was so vicious, even for Joe. And then that sad ass Taylor Swift and Bon Iver song was playing as Joe staged the crime scene. 😧😢He hated Love at that point. It was no mercy or compassion for her. And I know I sound insane. She was literally sharpen a knife moments before to kill him. 😫 I should have known THEE Joe Goldberg always has a plan B-Z. Even down to the point of keeping Natalie’s teeth to go with the rest of the evidence against Love. I’m just mad Joe stalked and fixated on Love in season 2 just for him to flip the script when she was just like him and making it seem like he’s above her when she accepted and still loved all that he was.
Joe was trying to leave all that behind for Henry, but he still had the tendencies and Love knew that. Now Henry, sweet baby Henry. I’m glad he can have a full, happy life away from the toxic Quinn-Goldberg family. Joe leaving him on Dante’s porch was very sad and although I didn’t feel Joe really wanted to be a dad he was still a parent giving up a child and that pulled on my heartstrings.
Overall brilliant season! Penn Badgley and Victoria Pedretti has such amazing on-screen chemistry especially in their intense scenes and those were the most exciting ones to watch. It’s not that I didn’t like the ending cause it made sense for the characters and the story it’s just I didn’t know I’d be THIS affected and disturbed by it.
Season 4 is green lit so this isn’t the last we’ll see of Joe, but I hope the upcoming season won’t be him trotting around Paris trying to find Marienne and I hope season 4 will be the series end.
🤣😩 Anytime Love feels a slight disconnect from Joe:
