I genuinely wish I could speak to a youtube rep or even a news outlet to really get this out there, obvious as it is nothing is being done aboht it and its become absolutely rampant on the site.

Juat for fun I conducted an experiment on me and my Fiancée's youtube channel. Its new, and not used to look at many videos.

I decided to scroll through youtube shorts for a few days just to see if my suspicions were still confirmed.

Out of about 500 shorts, 237 of them were as follows:

- Hate Speech to the most ovbious degree

- Giving above hatred platforms to spread more hate via the comments and vapid sharing

- Sigma = Kill the gays / Rejecting anything that isnt straight

- Rampant racism with no shame whatsoever

- Dropshippers, those of whom encourage children to bring "Fidget toys" that are in actuality, just multicolored replica guns to school (even if clearly a toy it sets a horrible example)

- Religious posts with the sole target being to attack LGBT people and encouraging attacks as well

- Millitary propaganda and propaganda regarding other countries.

- Anti religion and violence directed towards said religions for the sake of stirring upset only with no substance or true meaning

- Top lists for (as titled) "top #Anti-Gay Countries"and showing militants who would presumably respond according to the poster (further violence being encouraged in the comments)

- Videos of humans interacting with animal feces and urine, one of which the human interactor had spread feces upon their own face and began eating it with absurd laugh tracks behind it with no censorship

- Animal abuse

And lastly, two of said videos including Child Endagerment (Reposts from the Daddoly0five channel)

All of said videos have been reported, but knowing how lax youtube has become with its own rules, I feel somehoe and someway I need to reach out to people who can make a difference.

There are no safeguards on the platform at this point and reports go unheard of, Especially if a video is made popular by a hateful group.

I think its time we stand for a better YouTube.

I had to make this, because people need to be aware of the YouTubers that deserve hate and the ones that don't, especially with the whole Pewdiepie drama.

So apparently I haven't been paying attention

I was scrolling through youtube and one of the video results was a link to a secondary website to sign up for their streaming service.

God. Fucking. Damn.

I knew it was a problem in other regions of the internet, but now youtube is putting ads in between their searches, before their ads at the beginning of the videos, followed by the ads throughout the video.

It's fucking bleak out there

Luckily, for me, Im over 30 xD so Im not gonna feel bad because of them, but hey, if I would be like 14, it would make me sad, definitely. -.-

in english we have a way to keep in touch with people but in YouTube they let you put a video on a list and then they say "if you really love this video you'll find it again and then remove it from your playlist with no warning, and i think that's beautiful.
