No need for Hypocrites
When you look in the mirror, what is the first thing you look at? Is it your pimples? Your hair? Your teeth? Your smeared eyeliner? Whatever it may be, we all never leave a mirror looking the same because we always fix the way we look; we fix our flaws. & what should Christians really reflect? Our refection should be of the Bible. & If we look at ourselves & realize that we have some fixing to do with obtaining the image of God, shouldn't we fix it? We should never look the same, but only begin to look better day after day after day meaning we should be growing spiritually day after day after day. Hardly ever do we wake up & look in the mirror to say, "Dang, I look good. I don't need to do anything with the way I look." It's safe to say we hardly ever wake up & evaluate our relationship with God to say, "Yep, I'm right where God wants me to be. I don't need to change anything." We cannot read the Bible & go to church every weekend & not apply the new knowledge & wisdom we gain from the messages. We shouldn't be hypocrites, the world already has enough hypocrites. Shouldn't we fix our flaws in our walk with God just as naturally as we fix the flaws on our face? "Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like." -James 1:22-24
