Heyyy! I'm from the US and moving to Switzerland for the summer for an internship. How is it?!
hi! I’m only visiting Switzerland for 3 days (i’m from and live in the UK usually) but from my experience of the one town i’ve visited, it’s beautiful, everyone has been kind, and if you like nature/the outdoors/landscapes/plants it’s 10/10!
Things do seem pretty expensive compared to the UK, and i of course can’t generalise my experience to the country as a whole, but i’m v. happy here and would be content living like this, surrounded by nature in a little town where it’s quiet and beautiful!
(another curious thing is how many languages are spoken in just this one town?! I’ve heard German, French, English, and I think Spanish or Portuguese (plus more that I don’t recognise) and that’s mostly from local people, it’s exciting!! I’d be interested to know if this is a country-wide thing, or just the places that get more visitors?!) i hope your internship goes well, and that you’ll love your visit too! ✨
