S3E6 - Simon is humming!
I wanted to make a light-hearted post about Simon humming here, probably trying to cheer himself up
of course I ended up analyzing this scene.
Wille closes his eyes and I LOVE IT!
He's recalling the moment from S3E1 where he and Simon were in the library and Wille dismissed Simon's discomfort of people staring at them. Wille's declaration that he can be Kronprins AND Simon's bf feels tone deaf now.
He understands now that he'd been implying that he can be KP because Simon would be by his side, supporting him like Ludvig supports Kristina from the shadows while she does all the work (including the horrible parenting).
Wille's closing his eyes because he's usually used to STARING at Simon ALL the time. He LOVES doing that. Simon loves feeling that. (And we love watching them do that).
Now though, now Wille stops himself from staring, instead considers things realistically. It's painful, it's unfair, but he's more cognizant now of how much shit Simon goes through because of the monarchy invading his life. He might not know everything Simon's gone through, but he wishes he did. He wishes he had done things to make Simon brave enough to open up to him.
Wille understands that he can't be Kronprins AND Simon's bf because it will be at the cost of Simon's choices and liveliness.
