Young Royals — specifically Sara Arrhusius — has changed everything in the way I view all intimacy scenes in media. I am now always asking myself, “Did they have an intimacy coordinator for this? Because that would’ve been tough for the actors to go into without the building of trust or even having the options for boundaries the way ICs advocate for their actors while filming these scenes…”
And then I’m immediately saddened for all the actors and actresses who had to do intimacy scenes without an IC, who may have had a rough experience, and how they missed out on that opportunity to have someone help them learn to build trust with their intimacy partner and get through though difficult scenes with positive feelings, rather than anxiety and stress.
Just an incredible amount of respect for the work that intimacy coordinators do, and a huge shout out to Sara for her amazing work that delivered to us all of our favourite intimate moments in Young Royals ♥️
