Young Sheldon: A Solar Calculator, a Game Ball, and a Cheerleader's Bosom
* I’ll need someone to give me a crash course on football, ‘cause I absolutely no idea of what happened during the game * This episode tone was odd, though. Yes, there was the fun plot of Sheldon’s sudden popularity and the party sequence (Tam and Missy LOL) but also sequences/themes that nothing have to do with comedy in a strict sense. Get for instance the finale scene about Meemaw: I swear for a moment I was afraid something bad would have happened to her. * Not to mention at this point is clear she has a drinking problem AND a betting one. * Btw, was that Ray Liotta?!? * As I already noted and appreciated in the Pilot, one of the most interesting aspect is getting to see the rest of the family’s feels about dealing with Sheldon. There are so many nuances in Sheldon and his relationship with his father, for instance. George maybe doesn’t get his kid well as Mary or Meemaw, but it melted me seeing how he tried to get in touch with him once he saw a possibility with football. The calculator scene, the game ball... they were so bittersweet because you see Sheldon not really getting it back. * And Georgie, who just doesn’t know how to deal with him. * On a lighter note, Mary’s nightgowns are so damn similar to Amy’s ones lol * The mention of the Texas’s holy trinity!
