YSBSOM Headcanons - #2

This is a quick little conversation that happened probably right after where Chapter 2 left off, enjoy :)

Maria: Bobbi, I need a favour.

Bobbi: Why yes, Maria! I am doing well! The mission went fine. Oh Hunter is doing great too, he's still healing but he'll be alright in no time. I missed you too!

Maria: Yeah yeah glad you're okay brat, now I need a favour.

Bobbi: Ooh...I like where this is going. Let me guess, hiding a body, is it a rookie agent? No- Is it Agent Jett again? What did he do this time?

Maria: No, we're not hiding any bodies.

Bobbi: A shame.

Maria: I need help learning Russian.

Bobbi: You sure you wanna go with Russian? I mean no judgement but just seems a bit common in S.H.I.E.L.D. compared to other languages, oh did you know the new rookie is a language expert? I gotta start reading her file-

Maria: You mean the Black Widow?

Bobbi: ...

Maria: The one with the file that I sent you and labeled 'URGENT' in all caps, while also sending you five texts and two emails to remind you of it?

Bobbi: ...you mean Black Widow like the assassin that we've been tracking for years?

Maria: When will you learn to read my emails?

Bobbi: I was busy recovering!

Maria: Now, about my favour?

Bobbi: Yeah, yeah, I'll help you with Russian so you can talk to the hot assassin.

Maria: Bobbi I'm not trying to- you come back here Agent Morse!

YSBSOM Headcanons - #1

The hoodie. I want to write how Natasha came into the decision to request for the hoodie as her reward, but I don't think it'll fit into the theme and pacing for the upcoming chapters so far, so here's a short drabble instead.

Three things came into mind when she decided on the hoodie.

Warmth - Natasha had a really comfortable hoodie before, probably during an undercover mission. It was a soft lavender color and was the comfiest thing Natasha ever wore. She couldn't keep it once the mission ended, but she does remember how it felt on her body and the warmth she received from it.

Comfort - The word comfort might feel linked to the previous point, but Natasha actually thinks about how comfortable she feels in the hoodie, since it was oversized. Natasha is not...uncomfortable in skin-tight suits. She's used to it, and even came to appreciate her own form in it; but the sense of freedom she feels when wearing something oversized and unrevealing is unmatched. The Red Room made her grow up with outfits that formly-fits her body and accentuate her curves, so choosing to wear something so different from what she was forced to grow up in? Natasha is a rebel at heart.

Change - Like mentioned in the fic, Natasha never had any possession. The Red Room didn't encourage attachment, and instead taught them lessons by burning their favoured item when they were six years old. This is the one thing she's going to be owning ever since she got out, and she doesn't want it to be anything violent or dangerous or just...causes harm. The hoodie is something she feels like she can never be, something that brings warmth and comfort. The hoodie becomes a reminder of what she wants to be, but never could. (or so she thought)

YSBSOM Headcanons~!

Feel like I want to start posting little compilations of little headcanons that I can't seem to fit into the fic for many reasons, so I can still get them out there instead of having it rot in my brain while I try to find a way to insert it into the fic :DD

Some might still eventually end up in the fic at one point but just little things that might be interesting but not enough for me to put them in casually or intentionally for now!
