this is a 1960s college au and i know NOTHING about the 1960s i literally did a 40 second google search for male fashion during that time and thats IT
esp the european 60s (i am but a humble pinoy HASJKAS)
SO ABOUT THE ACTUAL AU
Mumbo is a film major who shares a flat with an architecture major, Grian
their neighbour is an Indian family with a kid. the moms are usually out because of work oversees
so they pay grian and mumbo to baby sit and tutor
being Broke College StudentsTM they accept, so they just have this kid in their flat sometimes
turns out the kid is Hella Heccin Smart
spelling bee winner for half a decade, triple threat student, etc etc
so the “tutoring” is sometimes the other way around
the college (aka Hermitcraft University) is like,, down the block, so when they have a free hour or two, they just chill with the kid
OH BTW the other hermits are enrolled in the college as well, but im yet to figure out their majors / living situations / whether they dorm or not / etc etc SO PLEASE SUGGEST THINGS HSAKJSAH
mumbo has a collection of little model cars in his room that decorate shelf upon shelf in his room, ,, despite this, he still prefers to bike
grian’s room has a hecc ton of blueprints and an open window cause that many art supplies and chemicals for his course is A Hazard, ,
because of their barely aligned schedules, they usually communicate throughout the day with sticky notes they leave on each others’ doors
grumbot (their nickname for the kid) teaches them how to cook so they dont live off of cereal and take out and thats one of their fav bonding times
individually tho, grian and grumbot build lego MASTERPIECES with each other and mumbo loves and hates it cause they forget to clean up afterwards
mumbo on the other hand teaches grumbot about rube goldberg machines and they like setting those up on the lego buildings that are big enough to hold em

tbh i dont understand the need to know a cc's face and real name. maybe it's because i grew up watching almost exclusively voice-only youtubers, but i just Dont Get It and 3 of my favorite youtubers are currently being harrassed about a face reveal and im just,, just sitting here
