Your Turn To Die Sprites

So I had a thought when I was falling asleep, which was the exact position of certain character sprites in Your Turn to Die (YTTD), or Kimi Ga Shine. I’m talking about Sou Hiyori and Keiji Shinogi’s sprites in particular.
Look at these two characters’ sprites:
And then look at the sprites for, say, Sara Chidouin:
Sou and Keiji are the only two characters in the entire cast who constantly touch their necks, or touch something around their necks (in Sou’s case). It’s not just this one sprite too, most of Keiji’s sprites (except for his good police boi sprite, in which he faces forward and is very formal and has black hair and stuff) involve him touching his neck or his face. In psychology, touching your neck indicates discomfort, stress and insecurity. Of course in a game like this one, there will be all three of those things. But most of the other characters don’t touch their necks.
Why only Sou and Keiji? What are they so insecure and stressed and uncomfortable about? Is it only because of Sou’s secret (he took someone else’s name and place) and Keiji’s secret (he shot an innocent and then later stood by in the first trial as his boss was killed because she covered it up)? Or could be it something else that Keiji is hiding? That Sou is hiding?
(Or could it just be so that we can see Keiji’s muscles ahem)
