An oushi episode finally. About time we got to see his inner thoughts and what makes him tick

First, some more cute Itsuomi and Yuuki moments. “Don’t get so nervous when we’re cuddling” The way Itsuomi holds her hand and kisses her to make her feel at ease 😩. It’s gonna take a while for her to settle in to the relationship so respect to Itsu for taking things slow and making sure she’s comfortable, prioritising her feelings over his desires, opposite of Oushi.

Shin got some good advice from Kyouya. Time to put your feelings first and let Emma know how you feel. She’s fighting a losing battle with Itsuomi anyway. Hopefully he finds his happiness soon, such a kind and genuine guy for not interfering with her crush on Itsuomi for all these years.

And the moment we’ve been waiting for, Itsuomi and Oushi first meeting since Itsu and Yuuki became a couple. “Can we skip all this bullshit” lmaoooo Itsuomi cooked his dumbass. Then, seeing Itsu getting spoken to by everyone on campus had to make Oushi feel even worse. How he gonna get mad after HE approached Itsuomi tho??

Inviting Oushi out for drinks and trying to get to know him outside of his crush on Yuuki was a very mature decision by Itsuomi. Most people wouldn’t handle that nearly as well. “If you Know yourself and your enemy, you have nothing to fear” and all that jazz.

It’s interesting that Yuuki is still this little girl who’s kind of isolated from the world and needs protecting in Oushi’s mind. Sign language was a way for him to feel special because he was one of the only people who could communicate with her. Like he said, it was their “own secret code” seeing Itsuomi come in so quickly and sweep her off her feet and learn it has to cut deep, but in reality his motivations are shallow and selfish. He wants Yuuki to stay in a little bubble rather than grow.

Not the head rub lmaoo getting lil bro’d by your romantic rival is crazy. Poor dude. Made some stupid choices and needs to grow up, but that doesn’t make him a bad person. Hopefully he learns from his mistakes with Yuuki and finds someone who chooses him.

“Is it ok if I fall for you”😩 this series is giving me so much life man. Itsuomi and Yuki scenes are all so pure. Peak in the truest sense.

Itsuomi being on the phone when Yuki was about to confess at the start of the episode would’ve been a frustrating cliffhanger in any other series, but they didn’t leave it there and we got a very satisfying conclusion to the episode.

“Yuki how about we become a couple” Man cmon y’all tryna kill me with cuteness overload here. One of my fave confessions ever. One thing I really love about this story is just how direct Itsuomi is. He doesn’t get overly flustered or hide from the moment.

It makes sense with all the travelling and cultural exchange he’s done. He just gets people. And when he meets someone like Yuki who’s from a “world” he’s not familiar with(deaf) he can’t help but jump at that opportunity to get closer and learn about it. In an era of male characters who act afraid around women it’s nice to have a normal guy lead.

I honestly didn’t expect the two of them to get together this soon, but it’s a very welcome surprise. It’s been nothing but emotional fireworks in every scene with Yuki and Itsuomi. They’re just soulmates. So many cute moments between the two of them in this episode.

Now, as for this dude Oushi.. how tf have you been friends with Yuki since middle school and had a crush on her all these years and never got her contact info and expect to be taken seriously. Bro is so unserious man. You normally feel kinda bad for the childhood friend in these romance stories, but you don’t even feel that here. Bro is just stupid and toxic. Just reeks of infatuation rather than actual love.

I hope Yuki gets her passport soon so we can see them on a trip together 🙏🏾 ending scene was so cute as well. I’m surprised he didn’t go for a kiss, but a hug from the back is just as intimate. Perfect episode

Oushi is so damn annoying man. He just can’t accept Yuki living her life and getting outside of her comfort zone. You had all these years to make a move and you wait till someone comes along to apply pressure. You snooze you lose. Everything with him is so forced, whereas with Itsuomi it’s just natural.

Speaking of Itsuomi, that stare off in the metro station was hilarious. Itsuomi really stood on business lmao. Walking off with his arm around her. Really asserted his dominance. Bro basically said idc how long y’all been friends, she’s mine now 😂

Handholding?? How lewd! Itsuomi making sure Yuki didn’t get hit by a car was sweet. Such a gentlemen.

A cotsco shopping trip date is the most realistic shit I’ve ever seen in a romance anime tbh. The double date was so cute and just a fun vibe for both couples.

“Everything he says shoots me right through the heart. What kind of voice did he say that in” 😭 love that scene so much. Being able to understand tone is definitely something we take for granted. For someone who can’t hear, it’s got to feel a little awkward to not be able to get those contextual clues about how someone’s feeling. Last week or the week before, we saw Oushi do the angry style signing, so it does exist in sign language and I wonder what tone Itsuomi’s sign language will take.

“Next time I travel I’ll pack you in my baggage” so damn cute. I’d love to see a Yuki and Itsu trip somewhere.

Yuki thinking she’d been rejected on the dinner proposal only to get invited to Itsuomi house lol. I can’t wait for next week, this is going to be so fun.

Another great episode of the best show of the season.

“You’re in love with itsu kun, right?” 😩 man hearing, or seeing Yuki vocalise it for the first time officially was cute. But I couldn’t help feel that moment was overshadowed by the sad situation with Shin. Sitting back and seeing the person you love have feelings for someone else for so many years must be heartbreaking.

The flashback to high school was so rough. Don’t blame Shin at all for falling in love with Emma at first sight, she’s absolutely gorgeous. Plus she was really the first person to pay him any mind and try to connect with him. Seeing her just go on and on about a dude who doesn’t even want her just had to be so infuriating, but instead of getting upset and being nasty about it, he was just supportive and was there for her.

It’s a total contrast to Oushi and Yuuki situation. Shin didn’t blame anyone for his predicament or lash out, he just made the best out of things.

Kinda feel bad for the girls he dated as he sorted out his feelings though. But he got a chance to see how Itsuomi felt as well. Like just because someone is attractive and confesses to you doesn’t mean they’re the one for you. Those other girls were cute too, but they weren’t Emma.

“This whole friendship business is so tiring huh, nothings been going my way lately. But how people feel about me is out of my hands. And changing myself to fit in doesn’t sit right with me” man this series continues to be TOO real lol. First the Costco date now Emma with these facts of life.

Back to present day man my heart broke for Shin as he was about to confess only for Emma to bring up Itsuomi again 💔 when she finds out he’s with Yuki, man it’s gonna be a waterworks affair.

Sign language boot camp sounds like a great idea. Can not wait for next week episode!
