Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Episode 59: Yuhong
『•』How does eBay influence luxury through art? 👉 Sotheby's /Christie's?⠀ ⠀ The paper catalogues that continue to be printed in the small auction houses (I talked about it in a recent article here) are now apparently suppressed in the big houses.⠀ ⠀ Previously very private sales are now offered online.⠀ ⠀ The recent operation "Sotheby's Gallery Network" offers artworks live through major art galleries. This is a win-win situation for everyone, even if the galleries are giving up additional land to auction houses that are already very efficient (and motivated!) in their sales strategy.⠀ ⠀ Christie's is joining these forces soon with the antique dealers participating in the Paris Biennale from 10 to 21 September 2020 to organise a joint auction. I can't wait to see it, it is a first.⠀ ⠀ @artbasel 2020 has been cancelled in favour of an Internet version at this time. From the point of view of the online results still in transformation to be serene (previous article of why on my blog here in a previous post) i noticed a Jeff Koons sculpture which was officially sold for 8 million dollars in the first VIP hours of the operation...To be confirmed and interesting...May be buyers are getting impatient too or investing on safe values. Above all they want art ;) 💪😎⠀ ⠀ All this made me think of the allegory on the mountain of #yuhong that I just recently saw again by chance and which is based on a Chinese tale... If you look at this post and this painting, everyone is trying to climb to the top, who's going to succeed according to You? ;) ⠀ ⠀ Have a good week-end ! It's almost there ☀️⠀ 🔸⠀ 🔹🔸⠀ 🔸⠀ #ventesauxencheres #auctionhouse #auctionart #artmarket #onlineart #onlineauction #newartstyle #artparisartfair #artcontemporary #artcurators #borisgarreau ⠀ ⠀ (à Rue de Turenne) https://www.instagram.com/p/CBnbLk-nLi9/?igshid=169sjxowvt0wz

So many limbs, so much flesh: Yu Hong

Another brilliant painting by Yu Hong at SuzhouArtMuseum. Rubens and Freud some to mind but here, so many limbs, so much flesh, to what sad end? #Suzhou #painting #ChineseContemporaryArt
Yu Hong: Apocalyptic, mythical and epic
From Shanghai, I went to #SuzhouArtMuseum to see #YuHong's great show of new paintings. She has reached a new level where her technical virtuosity is matched by deep conceptual rigor, giving rise to images that are apocalyptic, mythical, epic and disturbingly contemporary. Here, a detail of a 6m high painting, where a lost soul stands atop a telephone pole surrounded by surveillance cameras, surrounded by an exploding cloud of...fire? #ChineseContemporaryArt #painting #Suzhou
