In Kaineng, there is an achievement called “The Secret of the Vault” for which you need to piece back the story of two women from opposed factions who fell in love with one another somewhere during or shortly after the events of Guild Wars Factions.
Dalnim is part of the Am Fah and Yuhwa’s parents are from the Jade Brotherhood: they work for Reisen, a boss from the previous game that veteran players might recall. Yuhwa doesn’t want to associate with the organization and while getting to know her to gather intell, Dalnim becomes smitten with her.
Before they can sever all ties with their respective syndicates and leave to see the rest of the world and perhaps settle down in Elona, the flood prompted by Zhaitan’s rise that decimated a large part of Kaineng cuts their ambitions short and they are among the many victims of that tragedy.
If you find a key to the vault, and defeat the two restless spirits in the underwater ruins, the vault can be opened. The two spirits recover their names, remember one another and are reunited at last.
It was a particularly moving moment to uncover the story of these past lovers and help them find peace in this time.

Historical Series: Korean History 3 – Dongmyeong 동명왕– Jumong 주몽 東明王
In this third episode of my Korean history series, I will take a look at King Dongmyeong, better known as Jumong. He is the founder of the kingdom of Goguryeo. With Jumong, like with Dangun, we will be reminded of the importance that myths and legends played in Korean history. Jumong’s birth is stuff of legend in which we will talk about his father, Hae Mo Su the son of the Celestial Emperor, his mother, Lady Yuhwa and King Geumwa. There was a TV drama, called Jumong, that was hugely popular in South Korea in 2006-2007.
