ok so

i feel like wooyoung’s just overall an excited puppy

he’s cute :(((

so the first time he would say it,,,,i think it would be when you’re hanging out with him and just generally having fun

maybe you’d be at the movies or the mall or maybe you’re having a movie marathon idk whatever you like to do but let’s say for the sake of clarity here let’s say you’re out shopping with him

and he’s the kind of person who’s like “hey look at this!!! look at that!!! i want that!!!” and so he buys a whole lot of unnecessary stuff

nd you’re like “woo, we came here to get me a dress for this formal event thing i’m going to can we focus”

but come on,,,this is jung wooyoung we’re talking about,,,,

just be glad san’s not there too then you’d have double the trouble

anyways so you’re looking in some dress stores and he’s giving you his opinion

(“uwau!!! so pretty!!!! wait this one’s even prettier!!!!! ok you would totally get some in this dress i’m not wrong”)

tell me why you’re going shopping with this man child again?

anyways back to the point

you’re trying on another dress n you’re like “hey can we take a break i’m a little tired” 

turns out he felt the same,,,,and by that i mean he had taken the opportunity to go look at something flashy that has caught his eye when you went back into the changing room,,,,and was not even in the same store as you anymore

we love a distracted bb

so you go looking for him!! eventually you end up in this one store he loves

he’s not there,,,,,sad,,,,but u know what is there? the last pair of limited edition shoes he really wants or something else idk anyways thats not the point

anyways so obviously this is one of your best friends AND the guy you like so what do you do? you buy them for him

later when you actually find him you give him the shoes or whatever it is u bought

and when i say he’s super happy i don’t mean he’s happy because wow shoes amazing

i mean he’s happy because you’re standing in front of him holding something that he really wanted and he’s just so soft because he likes you you remembered? 

you remembered what he told you about and actually took the time to get it for him? 

wow ur so amazing

so he’s out here like “wow the girl i like,,,,my best friend,,,,she,,,,,wow” and he’s looking at you smile a little bashfully like you’re not sure if you should’ve bought the shoes or not

and he can’t stop himself

he just kinda blurts out “i love you!” and the way he says it,,,

he sounds soft and genuine and he’s never said it with that much of a serious tone and honestly?

it takes him a whole minute to realize what he just said, and when he does, he’s like “wait no i’m sorry i- ahhhhh, it’s ok if you don’t feel the same way!!!!” and he’s just going around screaming

like the menace to society he is

and he’s so worried he’s like “did i just ruin the best friendship i’ve ever had ahhhhhhh fuck” but then you just kinda

shove the bag you’re holding into his arms to distract him before you take his face in your hands and gently press your lips to his to shut him up 

you swear a bunch of people sigh in relief once he stops screaming

you look at him and smile like “i hope that’s enough to tell you how i feel?”

and he just kinda looks at you dazed until once again, he processes what just happened, and this time you drag him out of the mall before he can start screaming again

he’s happy,,,,he really is

also after he says it for the first time he says it so much like he can’t get in one sentence without telling you he loves you

I’m sorry this one’s kinda sad but there’s a happy ending!

Prompt: Tremble

Mark was tired a lot. When he was tired his mood tended to go south very easily. Renjun would often walk into their room to see the older boy crying or on the verge of tears. He never seemed to try to stop his tears or wipe them away. He would just sit there and let them fall, his face laden with exhaustion and resignation.

As the leader of NCT Dream, Mark often had to act much older than his age, much more mature. It was times like this when Renjun was reminded how young he really was and how fragile he was under the facades he put up.

It had become routine for Renjun to sit with him when he would walk in to find Mark trembling with quiet sobs of exhaustion and hidden resentment for their company for making him do so much. Renjun would sit down on the bed next to him, massage his shoulders a little to make them less tense, and if it was an especially bad day, he would sing softly to the older boy, which seemed to calm him down very well.

Mark wasn’t a robot, he got tired, and sometimes when he couldn’t handle everything the company threw at him, Mark found that Renjun could quite easily make him feel a lot better.

Pride Month Drabble #1

Pairing: Markmin

Prompt: Beginning

Mark and Jaemin both agree that while their relationship is smooth and totally normal now, the beginning was kind of a hot mess. The first time they had met, Jaemin had been framed and Mark was furious. Jaemin was a barista at their small, local café and had terrible luck, leading him to do dumb things like misplace his keys and phone almost every day and nearly get fired way too many times for him to actually still have the job, but the worst thing his shitty luck brought upon him was probably his two best friends, Huang Renjun and Lee Jeno (seriously, why was he still friends with them, the amount of times they’d gotten him into trouble were now in the double digits).

It was the one day in the week that he had to cover the graveyard shift, and Jaemin was dead on his feet, had just closed shop, and was walking down the street to catch the last bus of the night (he was half sure he had already missed it) when a blur—Jaemin recognized the small snaggletooth from the shit-eating grin on the boy’s face (that fucking Huang Renjun, Jaemin was going to kill him when he got home)—raced past him, shoved both him and what, upon inspection, appeared to be a small bag of candy into a small alley, and turned to dive into the dumpster behind Jaemin with said barista’s uniform now in his arms.

If the boy running behind Renjun had heard the shout of “Huang Renjun you fUCKTARD” from Jaemin, who was standing there with the bag of candy in his hand, looking like a (very tired) deer in headlights, he (Mark, as Jaemin noted from the nametag on the shirt covering a very… muscular chest) didn’t show it. Mark, who looked equally as tired, stalked up to Jaemin, furious. Piecing together the clues, Jaemin guessed that Renjun hadn’t exactly paid for his candy before leaving the cornerstore down the street from the café.

Wow, thought Jaemin, he’s pretty cute.

It was in the middle of Jaemin’s thoughts that he realized that said cute boy was berating him for a case of shoplifting that he wasn’t the cause of. Jaemin opened his mouth in a fruitless attempt to defend himself, when a certain Lee Jeno chose that very moment to walk by (honestly it was like he and Renjun had planned this or something, but knowing them, they probably did).

“Wow, Jaemin, what’s this?” Both Mark and Jaemin looked at the boy, and this time, Jaemin was able to defend himself without an interruption.

“Okay look, I didn’t do this! It was the asshole I call my best friend hiding in the dumpster right now, so if you would excuse me, no matter how much I would like to continue staring at your pretty face, Mark-ssi, I just finished the graveyard shift at the café and now I need to walk home 3 miles because my bus just passed us. Renjun, please pay for your shit next time, I can’t be bothered to defend your ass at 3am.” With the last part meant for Renjun delivered with a graceful middle finger, Jaemin began to walk off in the direction of his apartment, only to hear a sheepish call of his name from the cashier, and when he turned around, there was a pile of cash in Mark’s hands and a certain two boys were nowhere in sight.

“Um, Jaemin-ssi, right? I’m sorry I blamed you for that without thinking, but uh, you think my face is pretty?” Jaemin nodded shyly, the blush on his face matched by that on Mark’s. “Oh, well, I think you’re really pretty too.” He stopped, rubbed the back of his neck, and then continued speaking. “Um, I have a car, and if you would be willing to wait for me to close the cornerstore I could drop you off at your place to make up for the inconvenience?” Jaemin smiled slightly, and despite not knowing the older boy, agreed. He picked up the discarded dress shirt and apron from the dumpster where Renjun had clearly left them, and both boys started walking down the street to where Renjun had initially come from.

Jaemin supposed he should’ve been grateful that Renjun had appeared when he did, because he got out of Mark’s car about 15 minutes later with a new number in his phone, a promise to let Mark take him on a date sometime, and the brightest smile anybody had ever see on his face (Renjun and Jeno teased him about it for weeks on end, really, he needed to stop being friends with them, they were so annoying).

Donghyuck and Yukhei were the most extra couple anyone had ever seen. They were the prank kings in all 3 dorms, never apart, always plotting something. It was not rare to find them together messing around or planning big pranks.

Yukhei had a secret though. He may not have looked like it, but he was a hopeless romantic. In his eyes Donghyuck was the brightest thing he’d ever laid eyes on, and if he got the chance, Yukhei’s dream was to be curled up on the couch, Donghyuck in his arms, maybe even falling asleep just a little bit (Donghyuck would protest, but Yukhei knows he secretly loves to be cuddled). After all, Donghyuck himself could rival a thousand suns, and if he was Yukhei’s, why wouldn’t Yukhei want to hold him tight and never let go?

Jaehyun was madly in love with Ten. It had gotten to the point where anything and everything reminded him of the smaller man, whether they were together or apart. Walking through Hongdae with a face mask on, a black leather choker might catch his eye, and he would think about how beautiful Ten would look wearing it. He would watch idol groups dance, the thought that Ten could definitely dance better than that constantly lingering in his head. Ten was his world, his everything, and he would never regret his instinctive decision to ask the cute new boy out.

Ten was madly in love with Jaehyun. Anything and everything Jaehyun did made him smile. Ten could listen to him sing for hours on end and never get tired. His favorite thing about Jaehyun was how sweet the younger man always was. Ten swears that Jaehyun’s smile is brighter than the sun (Fuck Yuta, he thinks, what healing smile? Have they seen Jae’s?) Jaehyun meant more to Ten than he thought anyone would ever mean to him. He’s so glad he said yes when the cute trainee he’d been eyeing asked him out.

Jaemin had always wanted a fox for a familiar. He didn’t know why, just that he’d always found it enticing to have his companion be a fox. A fox was overall a pretty common familiar to have, but in Jaemin’s family it was unheard of to have any familiar other than a cat. Jaemin was determined to be the first.

Upon revealing this news to his family, they were skeptical. They had never expected their perfect son to want anything other than the norm.

On his eighteenth birthday, Jaemin was quite surprised by the fact that at the foot of his bed, curled up around itself, was a small red fox, unexpectedly as small as his mother’s cat familiar.

In no time Jaemin had gotten quite close to his familiar, whose name, according to Jaemin’s mother, was Renjun. The first time Jaemin got to see his human form (he had almost forgotten that the fox had one) was one night when he wasn’t feeling too great. He was sat on the bed, crying, Renjun curled up in his lap. Jaemin didn’t know why he had to go through these pains. It just seemed to be something that came as a part of the treatment for his herniated disc, but he found that with his familiar it was a lot easier to handle. Renjun took his mind off of the pain.

All of a sudden the fox uncurled himself, stepping gracefully off Jaemin’s lap and prodding at the boy’s legs with one paw. He seemed to be trying to say something, and with the bond they had formed since Jaemin got Renjun, it was relatively easy to figure out what the familiar wanted.

“You want me...to see your human form?”

The fox seemed to nod.

“Oh,” Jaemin started, “yeah, I... I would love to, Jun.”

And then there was a poof, and suddenly where the fox had been just seconds before sat a small boy, smaller than Jaemin, ears sticking up straight, small fox tail wagging behind him, and a small, crooked smile on his face.

Wow, he’s...cute

Jaemin fell asleep that day with Renjun in his arms and back pains the least of his worries.
