“Do you think we’ve met in other lives?”

her head cocked in thought the cool blonde looks at the moon hanging heavy in the sky. yui almost misses the sun. almost misses being a normal functioning part of society, wandering about during the daylight hours. almost, but not quite. and as every evening draws to a close with the dawning of bright light and warmth she is almost always tucked away inside her big four poster bed, safe under frilly pink sheets and a heavy comforter.
“well,” she muses softly glancing at her companion with a soft shrug. “i think it’s possible.” though her religion wasn’t one that recognized multiple lives or reincarnation, plenty of things about her faith had been challenged in recent times. not enough to shake the foundation, she was still a true believer at heart. but enough, she supposed, to acknowledge that the one truth she could accept was that things existed that were never meant to, and perhaps that was human error. god was ever mysterious, it was silly to think they knew everything.
“say, yuno…” shifting her back to the chain link fence put in place for the safety of the schools supernatural students she smiled brightly. “i’d like to think we have though. and i hope we were friends then too!” what a strange pair they were. yuno with her odd little house, no electricity and a streak of something she didn’t dare to call evil, but maybe predatory was closer to the truth. what did it say about her? that she attracted these sorts of people?
“so, what are we doing tonight anyway?” she finally asks, changing the subject with playful nudge. relaxed in a way she is so rarely is able to be these days. whatever yuno has figured out about her life she doesn’t dare to ask. is too greedy for natural friendship and easy companionship to risk stupid questions. besides, asking someone if they have figured out that all of your male roommates are vampires with a near hourly craving for you blood seemed like a faux pas somehow. “junk food?”
