Shooting a Punk gig while having fever hahaha (PUNKS NOT DEAD!!!!)

Oi Attack is one of the longest running event production dedicated to the punk scene here in the Philippines. It was founded by Merck Alvarez are true blooded punk. He is also known as one of the hosts of the Medyo Late Night Show with Jojo A shown in GMA 7 and TV5. 

Throughout its run, it has supported many local punk, ska and reggae bands and bonded the ois and skin heads. And also brought international punk bands in their annual line up. Some of the most memorable acts they brought in my opinion are the Argies (Argentina) in 2011 and Intifadah (Singapore) in 2012.

This year Oi Attack was held at Botong’s Bistro in A-venue Makati. It was hosted by The Doctor (Ramon Zialcita) and the acts who performed are After After Party (HK) , Two Finger Salute (HK), Oi Squad (FranceXHK) and Jenny Woo (Canada). 

I was really sick during the event, and I didn’t know how managed to still stand on my feet while everybody else around me is mobbing me LOL.

But I must say, audience participation always gives you energy even when you’re dead tired from whatever. 

The local punk scene is one of the nicest places to brutally hit the floor and dance to release your stress. Everybody was dancing and singing and hugging each other LOL. 

Jenny Woo was really friendly! But WHATTAVOICE! Man, you gotta check her acoustic oi project! Her song were like picking the words inside my head.

She’s travelled to many countries and her Asian tour has ended in the Philippines... She said it will be one of the most memorable things in her life to play here in Manila. See you again next Oi Attack! Oi! Oi! Oi!!!!

QUICK HDR TUTORIAL IN LIGHTROOM

In image processing, computer graphics, and photography, high-dynamic-range imaging (HDRI or just HDR) is a set of techniques that allow a greater dynamic range of luminance between the lightest and darkest areas of an image than current standard digital imaging techniques or photographic methods. This wide dynamic range allows HDR images to more accurately represent the range of intensity levels found in real scenes, ranging from direct sunlight to faint starlight.[1]

The two main sources of HDR imagery are computer renderings and merging of multiple photographs, the latter of which in turn are individually referred to as low-dynamic-range (LDR)[2] or standard-dynamic-range (SDR)[3] photographs.

Tone-mapping techniques, which reduce overall contrast to facilitate display of HDR images on devices with lower dynamic range, can be applied to produce images with preserved or exaggerated local contrast for artistic effect.

I only learned HDR a couple of months ago through reading online tutorials and reading some post processing books whenever I get myself in a bookstore LOL. I will try to show you how to process HDR using Lightroom3. Lightroom application though is a quick application where you can enhance a photo, but unlike Photoshop you are only limited in adjusting color temperatures, luminance, blacks, and etc., you cannot add any element or an object to a photo. I will use a photo that I took last 2010 after a friend and I went to cosplay event in MOA, this is when we watched the sunset along the bay area before going home. I'd like to site certain parts of the photo that I wanted to achieve the HDR results: 1) deeper blacks using vignetting effects 2) enhanced colors 3) sharpening the photo 4) revealing hidden objects Click each photo for full view STEPS: 1.) Import your photo in Lightroom 3 by clicking File> Import Photos or by pressing the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+I and choose the folder where you stored your desired photo to be used. Library simply shows what pictures you have been imported unto. 2.) Choose the picture you have imported, then click "Develop" on the upper right corner of the window. Develop provides the user the properties on what to tweak on the photo. 3.) Under the Basic menu: a.) Under Tones, raise Recovery and Fill Light to their maximum. b.) Set Blacks to a value of 20.

c.) Under Presence, ramp also both the Clarity and Vibrance to their maximum, a value of +100. d.) Set Saturation to a bit, set at +6. 4.) Under the Detail menu: a.) Rise the Amount of Sharpening, Radius, and Detail to max, 150, 3.0, and 100 

5.) Under Vignettes menu: a.) Under Lens Correction, set amount to -74. b.) Set Midpoint to 89. c.) Scroll down to Effects. For the Post-Crop Amount, set it at -33. d.) Midpoint would be at 61. Results: The amounts dont have to be always constant with my tutorial, it also depends on how you want the photograph to look. Enjoy! ♥
