Returning to Tython after shielding the last master suffering from Vivicar's Force plague, Aitahea is faced with more struggle in her efforts to heal the Order and keep the Force in balance. Tired, injured, and longing for someone she can't have, perhaps ever, the lines of her responsibility as a Jedi and her own convictions begin to blur. As Aitahea nears the end of her quest to save Yuon Par and the other Jedi Masters, she’s confronted with painful revelations and answers that only give rise to more questions. Shouldering the lives and minds of Jedi across the galaxy – alone – may prove to be more than Aitahea can bear. AN: Welcome back! This story follows shortly after the events in Best Intentions and closes out Chapter One of the Consular storyline for Aitahea (and Erithon, peripherally). The one-shot, first-person piece Impending occurs in the interim between Parts 2 and 3. Thank you and enjoy! *Now with paragraphs in proper order!*
Part One
Aitahea trembled next to Satele Shan on the bridge of the transport, fingers pressed to her lips while starlines streaked past.
“What troubles you, little one?”
The girl dropped her hands to her sides without looking at Master Satele, keeping her gaze focused on the soothing radiance of hyperspace. “Nothing, Master. How long until we reach Alderaan?”
“Soon now, Aitahea.” Satele dropped to one knee and placed a hand on the child’s shoulder. “You’ll be safe there. Your training will continue. We need you to be strong for the Order. For our future.”
She drew in a deep breath. “I know, Master Satele. I am strong.” But beneath her robes, her stomach flipped and flopped.
Aitahea trembled next to pilot Prelsiava Tern on the bridge of the Luminous, fingers pressed to her lips while they slipped from the grasp of Alderaan’s gravity.
“What’s got your head turned around, Jedi?”
The Jedi dropped her hands to her sides without looking at her friend, watching as the once-familiar constellations blurred out of sight. “Nothing, Sia. How long until we’re underway?”
As usual, her pilot’s concern was genuine, attending in a gently cavalier way that often left Aitahea feeling uplifted. “As soon as we clear the gravity well; just a few more minutes.”
The Mother I Never Had short one-shot outline
mostly just for personal reference
- After Alderaan, while still looking for the right location, Izalia heads to Tython to rest before facing the Plaguemaster.
-Yuon’s second padawan, now a crechemaster, is in the shuttle bay teaching a group of younglings some of the basics. Izalia isn’t looking good when she comes off the shuttle. She walks on her own, but Qyzen is only a step behind in case she falls and Tharan and holiday are running a medscan and fussing over her.
-The 2nd quickly leaves the younglings in the care of the other crechemasters and hurries to her side, persuading her to accept some help and assisting her through the temple to her quarters as quickly as Izalia could go. The Medcenter in the temple is full of Jedi with the Plague, currently sedated so they don’t hurt themselves or others.
- Izalia is tired, so very tired, but she can’t sleep. Too much responsibility weighs on her. Healers come and check on her. They can soothe some of the aches and pains, but can’t help with the exhaustion and barely help the mental strain of the shields.
- Yuon was alerted to Izalia’s arrival and makes a surprise visit.
- She fusses and apologizes for Zaels being so weak, even though it’s not her fault.
- They talk about some of the concerns they are both having about the toll this is taking on her and about her strength. Zaels states that if anything changes when she gets her full strength back, she wants Yuon’s help.
- Near the end of their conversation, Yuon tells Zals that Soden arrived on Tython with his younglings a few weeks before and she sent her 2nd padawan to tell him Zals was there after she was alerted. But there were a few sick crechemasters, and a wookie cold going through the creche, that they are trying to avoid spreading down to the babies. so he might not be able to visit before she decides to leave again.
- Yuon stays until Grandmaster Satele and Master Syo come to check on Izalia while making their rounds checking on the sick Jedi.
- Satele walks Yuon back to her room because she’s still weak and needs to rest. During the walk, they discuss their shared worry that Izalia’s strength is growing faster then she can control it, considering even as weak as she is, she has still been able to defeat Jedi Masters and other enemies in combat and shield them. Satele promises Yuon that both her and Master Syo will be there to help as much as they are needed if Izalia’s restored strength becomes a problem for her. They also discuss how despite the care Yuon has for her, they can’t force her to accept help if she refuses it, she is a knight and needs to be treated as such, they can’t treat her like a padawan anymore. Satele is concerned that if Izalia manages to defeat the Plaguemaster and returns stronger than ever, that new strength and power will lead to pride, anger and a fall to the Dark Side.
- Yuon assures Satele that won’t happen. Izalia had already brushed against the Dark Side and rejected it before. She was born surrounded by Sith and still found her way to the Jedi. She’s known Izalia for years. She won’t let herself fall
- Back in Izalia’s room, Master Syo is very impressed by what she’s accomplished and also gives her a brief update on the Jedi that she helped.
- Izalia brings up some more general concerns regarding the sick jedi, the plague, the upcoming fight, and her changing abilities and then asks for a few hours to sleep before she has to leave again. She’s just so tired.
- While she rests, Yuon has extra blankets sent to her ship. Special soft Jedi made Taun Taun wool blankets so that Izalia can have somewhere soft and warm to rest. Her duty may call her away and Yuon can’t protect her former student from that, but she will do what she can.
- Eventually, Izalia drags herself back to the ship and sets out again, before falling into the pile of blankets Yuon sent for the trip to her next destination.
Confession: My thing for Yuon Par is proof for my love for older women.
The Road to Redemption - A Blurred Lines Spinoff Chapter 5: Forgiveness
hey all this was a fun one to write :D
Senya awakes and has a confrontation with Kyradia as Kavaraa does her best to help Arcann and herself
[image: two screencaps of just dialogue from SWTOR. the first is an ancient droid saying “the first blade. First Jedi weapon. From this beginning, lightsabers came.” the next is Master Yuon Par saying “Ah. The folds in the metal. The power cell chamber... these are lost techniques. Our lightsabers began here, with this.” end image]
i always find it amusing that harin-so gets the first blade plot when messilandre would be so insanely jealous over it. since messilandre is obsessed with lightsaber combat and special interested lightsabers for a while.
if harin-so ever tells her where zir lightsaber hilt comes from messilandre would be like YOU MUST LET ME SEE IT IMMEDIATELY
