They aren't candles, they're oil lamps, so it's not like it' s going to get overly hot or drippy. They keep the bugs away. But I'll still most likely put them out before bed.

They may or may not have had much confidence in NBC when they planned the season, but Gaumont's backing, their international distribution, their production schedule, and the interest cable networks have shown in them all make it unlikely that they would have planned this to be the last season at the time of writing and filming it.

ETA: And producing the show only costs 2/3 of what shows its length typically cost (2 million vs. 3 million, according to Bryan Fuller at the Nerdist Writer's panel).

For Sale: Solty Rei Complete Collection Box Set

Originally purchased for ~$50 in new condition, now selling for $40. I only watched the series once, not because it isn't an excellent series, but just because I don't tend to watch things more than once or twice and this was something of an impulse buy. The set comes with original artwork included in the DVD case. The DVDs are in excellent condition-- no scratches or defects, plays perfectly. The box itself is gone, but it didn't have any particularly interesting or important artwork/significance to it. I'm happy to mail the DVDs anywhere. Pictures will be up soon, when I am home for the weekend.
