okay, imagine yuuri and mari as sam and dean. they’re siblings who were raised on hunting by their father. when dad goes missing, mari tracks down yuuri at college and they travel the country hunting monsters, saving people, the family business, all that.
in a reverse s2 finale moment, mari is the one who is killed and yuuri is the one who sells his soul to get her back. they try everything to extend their time (consulting with celestino, the bobby figure in my au, and phichit, a fellow hunter whom they’re close friends with) but nothing turns up. yuuri goes attacked by hellhounds and is dragged to hell.
yuuri wakes up in a pine box with no recollection how he got there besides the handprint that is now on his arm. mari, celestino, and phichit try to figure it out, but all they hear is this insane screeching. eventually they track down this creature to a barn and lo and behold, angel!victor shows up, saying that yuuri and mari have been chosen to fulfill a great purpose.
this is where things diverge a bit, because i can’t see victor being like the angels in s4. instead he’d be the angel who just wants to experience everything human, like right now, and gets so distracted from the mission that yuuri’s the one who has to remind him that hey, they’re trying to release lucifer from the cage can we please focus on that instead of eating everything i make for you THANKS
but when things do get serious, victor is a helluva fighter. he can take down any demon and when things go sideways and he has to fight his own kin, he’s the one who always comes out on top. (and that’s not attractive to yuuri at at no IT IS NOT STOP THINKING ABOUT AN ANGEL THAT WAY HE TELLS HIMSELF)
but later on he cannot deny that wowza, he’s totally in love with an angel and gets really anxious about that, because he knows one day victor’s gonna need to leave and he’ll be crushed when it happens.
the twist is that victor never leaves yuuri’s side, because he loves him too much, and when he gets the chance to become human he takes it without question, choosing to be with yuuri forever instead of living as an angel.
imagine destiel scenes with victuuri though?! like if victor went all leviathan in s7 and came back not knowing who or what he was, and when he uses his powers again and remembers everything the biggest thing that he sees is yuuri, over and over again. victor being controlled by a superior (like naomi) and being forced to hurt yuuri, but when yuuri brokenly says that he needs him victor can break through the connection. PURGATORY WITH VICTOR AND YUURI?! GOODBYE
also imagine christophe as gabriel. because that would be amaze. yuuko as jo, mila and sara as jody and donna, yurio as balthazar.
