Finally got around to posting these - gorgeous art of my Arcana apprentice Yvenne, and Caspir who belongs to @thursdaysshepard, both drawn by the wonderful @lajadelmira! So pleased with these. And the d e t a i l, my goodness. Please do consider commissioning them!

Doing this as a separate little post, more as a headcanon thing between Julian and my apprentice Yvenne as I struggled to get a story down for it but didn’t want to neglect such a wonderful prompt! So @riverdancekat asked “Domestic Day - laundry or cooking or cleaning. Who cooks? Who fucks up in hilarious and unforeseen ways? Who gets a smudge of frosting in a strategically kissable place?”

~ For laundry I would imagine Julian relies quite heavily on Mazelinka until he settles back into his own place in the south end, once all the business with the masquerade and the plague has settled down. When he’s living on his own again he makes a rather good house husband - he makes calls to patients but takes the time to wash and dry clothes of his and Yvenne’s whenever she’s away at the shop or working with Nadia. ~Yvenne usually cooks because Julian has a habit of ‘overcooking’ things; thankfully he knows well enough how to extinguish a fire by now. ~As for fucking up, I think the aforementioned answer proves my point on that front. ~Julian is also guilty of doing whatever he can to get Yvenne to show him affection. Now he has learned he doesn’t have to earn it, he likes to try and coax kisses out of her rather than downright ask for them - something in his head still causes him to struggle with requesting affection. So he normally aims to get a smudge of frosting just on the tip of his nose, which he has learned is one of Yvenne’s favourite places to kiss him.

YVENNE ALARIS (The Arcana)

Her relationship with Julian, getting rowdy and making trouble when it can’t be found. But he loves her, and she loves him, and that will endure no matter what comes. Stealing kisses in the dark.

Her relationship with her fellow apprentice Caspir who belongs to @thursdaysshepard, as they awoke side by side with no memories and have had try to rebuild their lives as a team since. They both look after each other (and occasionally fall out) like siblings and I love them a lot.

And finally, her relationship with Portia. Sisters forged in mystery solving and in the continued concealment of their idiot brother/boyfriend, she and Yvenne are inseparable.
