A kiss on your forehead, comfort

A warm body for you to hold, warmth

A hand that accompanies yours, security

A whisper that tells you about things you don’t know about you, about the beautiful suns that ignite inside you, beauty

And a wish, to make you feel that you’re all that which is important, remains to be, just another wish.

I thought that it was freedom

handing me a pen

to sign my own release

I didn’t, when

I thought of you

in the majestic places you’ve been to

and have seen with those beautiful

portals to true freedom.

love

when I dive head first into the idea I always expect to see a chemical reaction brewing inside my head

but that view is  devoid of color    devoid of a heartbeat      devoid of your smile that I want to see  as long as my eyes keep on             opening.

Six of Twenty Seven

The 2nd floor

The bright room through the door in the left

Brown wooden floors

The unmistakable scent of a newly painted wall

White walls and different sized prints of beautiful photographs

I went there because I know part of your soul is there

Your memories, alive in the walls

I wanted to see what you have seen

I wanted to understand, to feel something

I looked at every detail

I remember a hint of a certain kind of sadness in the soft contrasts, in the faces of your subjects

A sadness I've always felt

A sadness I've been trying to understand

And that day, I felt it disappear. Eight years suddenly faded away. I saw you again, through your photographs, through your own eyes.

Three of Twenty Seven

Let's go back

to the full moon

in an evening

during last month's end.

Weeks before

you reminded me

not the miss it

saving me from the trap

of repeatedly thinking of things

to fill this void inside me.

I'm never really good at the things I do

I'm really bad at making conversation

I know some people care

I care about them too

but I just don't know

how to show it

and I always feel like I have to

like how I think that I owe you

for reminding me of the full moon

You don't even know about it

you probably never will

but you saved me that day

it's true

even if you didn't mean to

I can't even tell you

Because I don't want to bother the hand holding yours.

Cracks

We are the earth we are rocks, unmovable, hard, and stubborn. And water is time; it takes halves of ourselves away, erodes us into sand and take us to a million places all at once. Time carves away so much from our lives, but it also helps us find other rocks with similar cracks.
