i think that its important for everyone to remember that youre allowed to like things youve done or acheived whether its writing a story or drawing something or winning an award or even just having finished a math test you were dreading and everything else you do its okay to accept compliments and its okay to look at or read or remember what you did and think "shit this is awesome" and its not conceited its okay to be proud and confident

just wondering, is it canon that viet is shy because the interpretations i've seen make her more headstrong though not necessarily outgoing either

ahh im not sure really. i know theres not a whole ton of canon viet (how unfortunate really) so theres not a ton to go off of. 

in all honesty i could probably go back and reread the strips with her in them to gain a better grasp on her character. i know she is a very strong person (physically and personality wise) but i also interpret her as quiet and not so much super shy as just kind of. unsure how to act around people. shes more comfortable on her own usually and when shes w/ strangers shes kind of short and very polite, not elaborating on much or talking really. when shes with her family its different though shes very comfortable around taiwan and thailand and korea too i think. shes more relaxed and talks a lot more with them, even going as far as joking around a little. which isnt odd its just different bc shes a hard worker and dosnt take a lot of time to lie around and have a whole ton of fun really. 

ah but. thats just off the top of my head?? i could gain a lot from rereading the canon stuff and also reading up on history stuff probably so. yeah. thats just my interpretation and im not even 100% i answered your question with that hahha.. whoops
