Not Paul related but... can we talk about the fact that some people say Yoko is a liar, but then she says John was bisexual (essentially outing him) and she becomes "our lady and saviour"? P.s. I hate all these tinhats, and this thing on Tumblr is really starting to get on my nerves.

a long time ago i wrote an answer which very briefly dealt with this issue and i’m still agreeing with my old response, and therefore your ask as well. it’s part of thatselective “research” some people love to do. yoko is a liar, an obstacle, whatever, but when she’s giving us information that can be fitted into some people’s narrative, she’s a blessing lmao. give me a break… if i wanna be honest, i’ve given up taking yoko seriously a long time ago, and her (or anyone’s) words or some sketchy rumours aren’t going to be the things that convince me of john’s bisexual tendencies/bisexuality. i think john’s behaviour, statements, viewpoints are much more interesting and useful in this topic.

what i also find interesting, is that people think his bisexuality would confirm m*lennon? like, i’m.. sorry? i mean i don’t want this answer to become too long, but as i’ve said before i think that on some level, he was attracted to paul (which still wouldn’t confirm anything!?) but ??? for their relationship to become romantic/sexual, among many other things(!), paul would also have to be bi?

and that’s where some people feel the authorization and the need to, again, present their opinions as facts, and claim that “ummm paul has never talked about his bisexuality because he’s rEpReSsEd, but he’s bi okay, m*lennon was real!” like… dude.. stop.

i get that the fact that paul, i don’t know, just might not be bi would ruin the nicely propagated m*lennon story but claiming that y'all KNOW paul is bi, even though he’s never even hinted at it seriously or anything, is laughable and simply fucking gross. (of course we have disgusting “explanations” too, where some think that certain facial features impact which gender(s) someone is attracted to… yeah, let’s not get into that)

if anyone did have serious issues with accepting, or understanding their sexual orientation it was john, who -between periods with more self-acceptance(?)- went through several homophobic stages as well (early 60s, early 70s) and claiming that he was an open bi, a woke icon, in contrast to paul who was apparently so fucking repressed he has never even mentioned his claimed bisexuality, is extremely misleading and toxic.

it’s one thing to theorize, and it’s another to present one’s opinion as fact, especially on a topic like this, which concerns john and paul’s innermost feelings. stop pretending to be mind-readers y’all
