His eyes closed when he felt her lips press against his shoulder before he felt her chin where her lips had been. Bucky reached up and placed his hand on her cheek before turning so that he was facing her. He moved her between his legs, hands going to her hips. "Hey babe. You need to get some sleep." Reaching up, he tapped her chin gently knowing the look on her face and that she wasn't about to just leave.

He sighed, but then pulled her down to sit on his lap as he turned back towards the window and looked out once more. "Are you doing... shit. I want to ask if you're alright but I know you're not. Are Steve and Kara at least getting some sleep? Oliver and Becca? I hope at least someone is getting some shuteye."

It wasn't often that Becca went in on her one day off and as she walked into the ER, she knew exactly why they'd called her in. There were people everywhere, all of them looking bad but as she pulled her phone up and turned the volume up, she noticed she was getting constant notifications from the CDC. Biting down on her lower lip, she went up to the head of her department. They were all yelling at each other and being part of pathology, she knew that whatever was going on was contagious but they couldn't decide how.

After talking to them for a bit, she said she needed to make a call and she'd be back. Pulling out her phone again, she frantically texted her husband.

<sms: ollie> Something's going on Oliver. <sms: ollie> There are far too many people in the hospital and they are coming in with a communicable disease but we can't figure out how it's spreading. <sms: ollie> I don't think I'll make it to dinner and please, be careful if you're out around a lot of people.

The Captain has offended Eugene in some way but doesn’t realize it.

He’d reached the end of the block. The Captain slowed his pace, his eyes peeled for anything that could make the return home any harder than it already was. 

It didn’t occur to him to think about what he’d just said. He wasn’t known for his sensitivity, and the hell he was currently living in hadn’t helped. 

He looked back over his shoulder. 

“Are you coming?”
