Here’s a riddle

A non-white person attempts to stab a white guy in a tube station. There is no information about the religion of the person doing the attacking, nor what his beliefs or motivation is. Almost at once, the press report this as “A TERRORIST ATTACK IN THE HEART OF LONDON”

Yet a few months earlier, a white guy attempts to hack the head of a non-white guy in a supermarket. The white guy is known for being a member of a far right group and has lots of far right propaganda and material in his possession. At no point during the attack, the investigation, the trial or the conviction is this man referred to as a terrorist.

Can anyone tell me why?
