dang i thought i was being so sneaky with, like, actively fighting with tinhats and reiterating how damaging it is to the people being tinhatted & their families, as well as actually out people of colour (cough tan france, cough lena waithe) who are being frequently disregarded in favour of putting these two white men on a pedestal. All that time i was getting all these hate messages and talking about how shitty it is to disregard other people’s labels when they’ve already told us how they identify... and I Was The Tinhat All Along.
