Tales of the Loa: Zandalar
Chonkasaurus codex! It is one of the few actual codex (ie. books, with a bound spine of some kind) we see around Dazar'alor, and quite understandably it is a religious text full of poems glorifying the primary wild god/loa spirits of Zandalar. And what a hefty book it is, with a thick, seemingly carved cover of unknown material and massive rings. But look, there have been a lot of ding and dents into that cover. Could this be more like a student's textbook than a book used in active worship? Somewhere in the Zanchul I'm sure is an acolyte frantically trying to find and return this book before the more senior devotees find out it's missing.
The Zocalo
Scrolls seem to be a popular commodity in the Zocalo with No'ci the Scribe, Chronicler Bah'kini and the Ol' Tella all trading in manuscripts--while Milliner Hakkit has reserved a corner in his shop just for his.

I have a strong suspicion the reason we don't see many paper-paged books around Dazar'alor is more of environmental problem--Zuldazar's humid jungle and heavy rains. But that doesn't mean there is nothing to write on. Could we be looking at vellum and parchment here, where robust and flexible animal hides are prepared to become a durable writing surface?
