zane quietly pining, keeping his yearning to himself as he tears himself apart with how much he adores his dear friend, the only one whos ever been patient with him. the only girl whos never judged him
kc deeply investing herself into every aspect of aph's life. kc is her roommate, her best friend, her trusted confident. aph doesn't keep anything from her, but why would she? kc has only been supportive and caring, dropping everything the moment aph needs help.
ofcourse, kc and zane would notice eachother. kc would note zane's watchful eyes, the look he gives aph when he thinks no one is looking. zane would notice the desperate glean in kc's eyes when aph is talking with aaron, the twitch of her ear when aaron makes her laugh.
when aph finds kc's shrine, it freaks her out. kc tries to assure her its nothing, just a silly thing she does to show her appreciate for her greatest friend, but aph can't shake the feeling that something is wrong. she can't go to katelyn about it, because they all live together and katelyn knows. but she goes to zane, because he doesn't really know kc. he's trustworthy.
zane gets quiet when aph tells him about kc's shrine, the intimate details of it. theres someone else whos just as devoted to aph. he's not the only one. and, aph doesn't hate kc. a bit creeped out? sure, but she doesn't hate kc. zane always worried she'd hate him if she found out, but if she doesn't hate kc, well, zane's got nothing to worry about.
zane finally approaches kc. they've never talked, not like this, and his knowing look puts her on edge. but then he asks to see the shrine, asks to be apart of something so intimate and personal..
