is this real??? im sorry if thats a dumb question
They’re absolutely real. Almost everything I post is unedited, and if I do edit something, I always try to go out of my way to say so. Which is why I was kind of upset when this post started going around as a creepypasta, like people thought that I had photoshopped something to show a haunted town or something. Nope, just a town where the mayor had removed every post from their board.
A post I made two years ago showing these clouds has nearly two thousand notes on it, to my chagrin. I kind of wish one of my better photo sets, like this one you replied to, or any of the other ones I took between then and now, had gone viral instead of that one. If you go through my #acnl_island tag, you can find a few more image sets that also show cumulonimbus clouds. They always look exactly like this, with no variations. They also only last for like fifteen minutes from start to finish, so you have to be fast to get some good pictures!

Looked it up: August 1 to 31 - Cumulonimbus (gigantic columns of clouds) They can form between 9am and 3pm.
Actually, I didn’t even know the exact hours when they could form. I just knew I only ever saw them on the island, haha. I guess it makes sense that I wouldn’t see them in town, since I’m rarely hanging out in town during those hours, even in August.
The island is basically eternally “August,” though, which is why hibiscus bushes flower there and you can get a tan. And why these clouds show up, I guess!
