How do you decide which moments you want to gif from any given show? Like can I know a bit about your process?
(sry for taking so long to answer this but I wanted to give as thorough an answer as I could) it's usually either 2 ways
1. During my watch/rewatch of said episode or movie I keep an eye on little tidbits that make me go "yea that'd be a good gif". If its something I'm rewatching I like to choose based on personal favorite scenes as well. I also tend to just pay attention to where time stamps are before I convert it (if you need a good video conversion program other than vlc media i'd recommend handbrake). I split both movies and episodes up into parts when I convert them to mp4 files (the videos are usually under 20 minutes to make it easier to scrub through them when converting it to gif frames)
2. I find the video files for what thing I wanna gif and look through them again before making a new gif. Usually through this I'll look again at a scene that might work and experiment with it. This is another area where converting stuff into parts comes in handy, as i use ps which let's you do a preview of a video clip range before it converts it into frames
