You said you recently became interested in the Duckverse. This leads to a very important question....who's your favorite character so far? :)
Without a doubt it’s Mr. Donald Fauntleroy Duck
I relate a lot to his character and I love how sassy he can get (Duck Avenger I’m looking at you)
Not to mention when I was younger I’ve always like his cartoonsUnfortunately I lost interest in Disney cartoons until the new Mickey Mouse shorts started coming out and even then I didn’t really pay attention to Donald until the Ducktales Reboot trailer came out
Oooooh boy once it came out I fell head first into the Duckverse
I had no idea that Donald Duck had such a detailed history and lore! There’s so many comics and shorts, and not to mention all of Donald’s family that I have yet to learn about.
I guess what I really like about Donald Duck is that sure he can be an angry asshole at time, but just as many times he can be a loving father-figure to the nephews. Overall from what comics I have read, Donald Duck is a great guy and someone I think a lot of people can relate too!
Honestly I’m so happy that the Ducktales Reboot is coming out because without it I would have never learned about how amazing Donald Duck and his family are.(Also Donald looks like he’s in need of a nap based on the latest Ducktales promo XD Someone help this poor Duck)
The Tagging Game
I was tagged by @zany-the-nerd!
Here are the rules:
1. Post the rules
2. Answer the questions given to you by the tagger
3. Post 11 questions of your own
4. Tag 11 people
1. Who are three of your favorite characters of all time?
(At the current moment. This answer changes A LOT ^^;) Sonic the Hedgehog, James P. Sullivan, and Miguel from Coco.
2. What are you currently obsessed with?
If you couldn’t tell by my previous answer, it’s currently Sonic and Disney.
3. Do you have a celebrity crush? If so, who?
I don’t really, but if I had to choose it would be Hugh Jackman. XD
4. What is something you often day dream about?
Right now I mainly day dream about what I’m going to write in my fanfictions I’m working on. That or I’ll think about my future career or my very good friends.
5. If you could have any super power, what would it be?
This is a hard question! I think I’ll go with telekinesis. Being able to move things with my mind would be awesome af.
6. What is something that makes you really angry?
People having power that don’t deserve it as well as racist/sexist people.
7. What is something that makes you really happy?
My friends! I always feel so good when I’m around them. ^^
8. Do you have any weird quirks?
I tend to stumble over my words and talk too much I guess? I get really flustered when I’m having a conversation with someone and run out of things to say.
9. What are some of your hobbies?
Music, blogging, writing, drawing.
10. What are some of your favorite feel good movies?
Sonic the Hedgehog OVA: it never fails to make me giggle and it has a huge nostalgia factor for me, La La Land: I know it has a sad ending, but it just makes me feel good inside when I watch it, The Greatest Showman: I’ve only seen it once, but I just really love the music in it as well as the message of being yourself no matter what people think.
11. What is a time period you would want to go back to and spend two weeks in?
The 1980s. It seemed pretty wild. XD
I tag @blazexysu @pikachugirl1250 @mangledsonic and @linz3
My questions are:
1. Who is your favorite Sonic character?
2. What was your first Sonic game?
3. What ultimately made you become a fan of the Sonic the Hedgehog series?
4. What are your top 3 Sonic games?
5. What do you like to do for fun?
6. What’s your favorite animal?
7. What other fandoms are you in besides Sonic?
8. Do you have any Sonic merchandise? If so, what?
9. Any favorite ships? (Doesn’t have to be in the Sonic universe)
10. Do you have an iPhone, Android, other, or no cell phone?
11. What song is stuck in your head right now?
7 and 10
Favorite level: Mortar Canyon has an almost dizzying level design, with a big sense of vertigo sometimes, and while it is criminally short I feel like I’d love exploring every nook and cranny. Also I already gushed enough about the music, but really, it is amazing, probably one of my favorites in the series. Capital City and Null Space get a shout out too, the former because of the clever gimmick and the second because it feels very Unleashed-esque!
Favorite Sonic character: It’s a tie between Sonic and Eggman, honestly. Sonic is full of personality, energetic, magnetic, sassy, badass, arrogant but so compassionate. Eggman, especially post-Colors!Eggman, is charismatic, hammy and funny but by no means ineffectual as a villain, in fact his sheer determination and resources are admirable. Both of them are the definition of “awesome ego”!
Sonic Adventure or Sonic Adventure 2 Battle?
Sonic Adventure by a landslide.
Gameplay-wise, the only thing I prefer Adventure 2 for is having only three gameplay styles and choosing the three best ones, but everything else, from level design to controls to the way the styles alternate, is a downgrade compared to the original. Aside from that I’m also not a fan of the soundtrack, the dull art direction that makes almost every level looks same-y and boring, and the recycling of level aesthetic/geometry.
Sonic Adventure may show its age and nowadays it feels very experimental, throwing a lot of stuff in to see what works (understandable, being the first 3D Sonic game and whatnot), but it was ambitious, it knew how to balance the many styles, and… I dunno, I just find Sonic’s stages here more fun and rewarding to replay.
(the Chao Garden in SA2 is a massive upgrade, though, I’ll give it that)

5: Are you afraid of falling in love?
Yes. I don’t believe in long lasting relationships, and I had my heart broken enough times to be wary of the idea of committing to a person.
14: Are you tired?
Not really. I’m starting to get used to waking up early for the university.
19: Is there a certain quote you live by?
“Sometimes it is better to remain silent and appear stupid than open your mouth and remove all doubt.”
Paintbrushes and scars for the ask thing! :)
Paintbrushes: Do you have a creative past-time?
Not really :( I sometimes draw and sometimes write, but on very special occasions, and in fact I have a love-hate relationship with writing due to an old story I was supposed to write with a friend of mine. I used to remix videogame tracks (mostly Sonic, but I even briefly touched Ristar and Megaman), and I’m still proud of some of them, but I lost all my programs and soundfonts after my pc got a virus *cries*.
Scars: Share something difficult you’ve been through.
Fun fact: I have a rare case of rheumatoid arthitis. I was one of the very few children who suffered from it, and one of the even fewer children who has almost 100% completely healed. Even still, I remember the period where I was brought to so many doctors almost every day, staying in the hospital for a month, getting (very painful) shots of penicillin, and my mother and grandmother praying Mary for me to be well. It’s a bit fuzzy, but I remember being confused, worried and full of apprehension.
I still have two fingers shorter and stiffer than their counterparts, and I still have a picture of Mary hanging near the bed.
(fun thing: I couldn’t close my left fist because the ring finger could barely move. When a doctor asked me to describe what I was feeling, I told him that it was like I had a magnetic field in my hand. I was a nerd even at eight :P)
Thanks for the ask! :D
16, 41, 95 :)
16. Favorite movie?
I’m torn between The Black Swan and Lilja 4-ever. I love the first one for all the symbolism behind it and how it portrayed the descent into perfectionism-driven madness; the second one was essentially the equivalent of someone tying me to a chair and punching me in the gut for two hours straight.
41. Are you a good liar?
I’m a terrible liar, sadly, my emotions are always written all over my face and in the tone of my voice :( even on the Internet I find it difficult to lie, I’m so unused to it.
95. What are your weaknesses?
My laziness, my arrogance and my anxiety are my worst enemies.
Thanks for the questions ^^
