A glare shot out from behind his spectacles toward the intruder. The book in his hand slammed shut in an attempt to get their attention. Irritation was clear in the angel’s tone, “This is not a place or time for such childish acts.”

“With a single thought, I can alert Heaven to your exact location,” Zaphkiel’s eyes were not on the demon, but rather the book in his hands. Clearly, he was more concerned with the safety of the book than the security of Heaven. Everything that happens outside the gates of the archives was someone else’s problem. ”I very much doubt you’re supposed to be here,” he stared down at the crouched figure among the stacks of books. His was a quiet anger, never evident on his face or in his voice. But when someone invaded his library, he was immediately incredibly irritated. (@vaguewhispcrs )

He was intent on reading his book. One of the billions he had at his disposal. It was incredible how many of his siblings ignored the information that were right at their fingertips.
