finding chuck and the cardboard crowns are playing a show together tonight back in ottawa. at zaphod's, so you pretty much know its going to be a rad time. seriously contemplated flying back (even looked up the costs of flights), before deciding that paying five hundred dollars to see a band [that i've already seen, like, eight or nine times] might be a bit ridiculous.
sigh.
being rational is lame.
Ugh, I wish I had friends to someone would go to Zaphod's with me :(
Inlet Sound and Amos at Zaphod's tonight. Really excellent show.
Ughhh wish I had money to go to Zaphod's tonightttt. It's Douglas Adams' birthday AND Electronic Monday. Lameeeeeeeeee, why do I not have money :(
Well tonight I went to my favourite bar and spent pretty much the whole night having the most real conversation with the owner of the bar. It was awesomeeee. Now I'm home, still rolling lol I want to curl up in my bed but I also want to danceeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Oh life, you are very amusing. Also, I'm officially 21 yayyy funtimes lol
STILL.OT: Half Moon Run at Zaphod's
Half Moon Run has been on our radar for quite some time now, and if you haven't given these guys a listen yet then we highly recommend their sound. You may have heard their song Full Circle on the radio, but the rest of their album Dark Eyes is equally worthy of your time. Personally we really like Call Me in the Afternoon, which is the video we listed below. In other news, for you Ottawa residents, the band will be playing a gig at Zaphod's on March 9th. We'll be there, and we suggest you join. It's always good to support some good ol' Canadian talent, and sadly there aren't enough live shows in this genre that come through town, so for $12 you really can't complain. Check out Zaphod's event page, or purchase tickets directly here.
And check out Half Moon Run on their Facebook page, or on Twitter.
