More than 698 attempts because I didn't always have Rarity enabled. I also haven't really been playing the game consistently since like… Legion. Lydia - my KT shaman - was the one who got it, but Zareyx will be the one using it, of course.
I don’t know why I bothered to colour this when I plan to clean it up for their profiles but oh well;;; Talarik and Zareyx, just full body sketches.
Last time I drew them individually, I was getting worried that their designs were too similar in the way their feathers organized themselves. So I tried to push the differences a little more. Hopefully I was successful?

Realized though that her bird form has a few too many feather arrangement similarities with Talarik. I’ll have to take another pass at them both and try to do a few more differences.
Oh man the first time Zareyx used Rukhmar’s Sacred Memory (finally got around to getting Revered), the random colour she turned into was the one she’s actually supposed to be! :V What luck haha.

Things I’m having fun doing: letting go of holding on too hard to in-game models when designing character outfits based on transmogs. I really like how the arakkoa influence went into Zar’s outfit. Lylana’s didn’t change too much from the original model, mostly I was trying to lean it towards the worgen starting robes, ‘cause they’re neat. (I really like the bell-belt from the newest Priest tier ‘cause it reminds me of the abhorsen.)
They’ll... obviously be re-posed for their ref sheets xD; Just wanted to share design sketches that I’m excited about.
Arakkoa would normally perch rather than sit, but Zareyx (unlike Vronaak) quickly picked up blood elf body language/posing and has gotten rather used to it.
I was sad to discover that [Rukhmar’s Sacred Memory] requires Revered to even USE =.= That’s going to be a long while before Zar can use her true form in-game. She’s only like... level 26.
Expression practise for my ladybirb Zareyx :D I like the two hooded-eye ones the most, she looks a little too… intense if her eyes are fully open.

Just realized I draw birb people with their eyes facing forward. I guess that’s a little weird. Oh well.
