Title: For the Best (Chapter 4: The Most Mysterious Prince) Pairing(s): Zarkon/Alfor, Zarkon//Honerva Characters (so far): Zarkon, Alfor, Coran, Honerva Warnings: Captivity, abduction, questionable political decisions.
Summary: Altea has begun the painful, precarious process of treaty negotiations with the Galra Empire. Prince Alfor considers the negotiations long overdue, but he’s been completely left out of the talks. He is next in line for the throne, and he longs for peace as much as any Altean. Alfor wants to do whatever is necessary to bring the war to an end. Possibly, he should sit back and do as he's told—but Alfor isn't that kind of prince.

......him... him, i'm in love head over heels with king alfor of altea and i can't deal with the loss anymore. like him just being allura's father was sad, but seeing him, KNOWING him? he- i just- he reminded me so much of keith, and being red's former pilot made so much sense.and him, and zarkon... they were friends. they were CLOSE. they balanced each other out, but honerva's research corrupted zarkon and they fell apart due to miscommunication and manipulation. i just- it should've been them. alfor and zarkon, them, against all odds, against the evils of the universe, for the good of everyone, but it ended in flames, both of their planets, gone, and alfor is dead, and i just, i can't stop crying about it.
