"Look what the cat dragged in."
peccatafunesti
Taking the child into her arms, she cradled him softly. “Hey! Don’t say that.” She muttered, a small smile on her lips. But seeing the male pull out a cigarette, she immediately plucked it from his lips and crushed under the heel of her shoe. “We take care of the child, Zayden!”
"Paige." He whined as she took his cigarette putting it out. He sighed leaning against the wall watching her with the baby. She seemed so good with the kid already, and him, well he was another story. "Paige we-I can't take care of a kid. There is no way we can keep it."
She stepped towards the male, her hand on his arm as she pulled him back slightly. “Hey, let it be. They’re only words.”
"No, I want them to say it again. I dare them."
"R-really?" She asked, her voice cracking and her features strained. "I-I’m glad for you, Z-Zayden. I’m sure you’re inc-credibly happy." It was obvious she was in pain.
"She is a great girl." He said shoving his hands in his pocket. "I had been saving to buy her a ring." He tried to force a smile on his face but he couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't right.
Hands intertwined with his new girlfriends hand he walked down the streets of Paris. He was finally free, in international waters. No one was looking for him. He glanced at the brown hair girl and smiled at her softly. It had been three years since the news of Paige's death, and he had gone to hell and back to try and get over it. Running into someone's shoulder he muttered and apology looking up into familiar eyes. "P-Paige?"
Paige knew that she couldn’t hold onto Zayden forever regardless of she felt. Now she hadn’t expected the male to do much, it seemed to be he was struggling with himself. She figured he would make it seem like he was doing so much more than he actually was, and Paige let it slip, trying to seem normal about it all. After all, she couldn’t let his childish actions get to her, even if hers weren’t any better. But this she hadn’t expected. She had just walked in On Zayden, half naked and all over another female. Her jaw setting, it finally set in that Zayden wasn’t screwing around, or well, he was, just not with her. And that he did truly mean to hurt her at this point. The reality of it sinking it, she turned on her heel and fled the scene instinctively. After all, she wasn’t going to let him see her cry.
Zayden had not been in his right mind since Paige had returned. He felt like he was slipping away, everything was crashing before him and he was just struggling to try to keep his already broken life from shattering even more. The world crumbling around him, he was so drugged out he didn't even known what was real anymore. He had run into Paige, or who he thought was Paige at a club. There he broke down to her apologizing for all he had done. The girl must have forgave him, because the next thing he knew he was rolling around half naked with her on his makeshift bed. Whispering of I love you left his lips every now and then. Though he was confused when the door opened. Why was someone coming in, or rather who the hell would be coming in. He glanced up to see someone...Paige, but he was with her. His mind spinning he didn't know what was going on. "Wait." He slurred as he stumbled after her.
He had lost his mind, he felt like when he thought he lost Lacey. Walking aimlessly he ended up in front of an institution. It was like he was back in California on the run. Walking inside he checked himself in. Time passed, how long had he been in there? Sitting in his room he stared outside till a knock came. "You have a visitor." They spoke. "Who is it?" He asked eyes looking up at the familiar figure.
"Paige..."
