this congee isn’t the traditional way you make it btw, my version is thicker :3
also i used soy marinated eggs instead of normal boiled eggs, so lmk if u want the recipe for that!
————————————————————————
ingredients for the base (the congee):
1/4 uncooked white rice
2 cups water
1 dashi packet
1/2 tsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp minced ginger
1 clove garlic (minced)
a bit of white pepper
salt to taste
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
ingredients for the toppings:
———
spinach (i did 30 g but you can adjust to your liking)
1 tsp soy sauce
sprinkle of sesame seeds
———
egg
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
instructions:
rinse the rice
put the rice and water into a saucepan on medium-high heat
when it begins to boil, turn the heat down to a simmer
add dashi packet, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and white pepper
wait for it to thicken (when it begins to, take out the dashi packet)
while we wait ⏬
instructions for the spinach:
put the spinach in the microwave until it wilts (i did around 30 seconds)
mix the spinach, soy sauce, and sesame seeds
pour the excess soy sauce out
instructions for the egg:
boil water
place egg in boiling water
wait for 7 mins for jammy eggs (consistency of the yolk)
take it out and peel!

when the congee is ready, assemble it however you want :3
i cut open the dashi packet and put a bit on the congee, so less waste and more flavor!
if u have any questions, pls comment them :D
enjoy!
