Desperate times called for desperate measures, and considering the amount of times she’d been in a position exactly like this in the past few months, she was an entirely new level of DESPERATE. Caroline tapped her phone against her palm for a moment, glancing around almost nervously, trying to sense whoever it was that she was supposed to be looking out for. She jumped when she finally spotted him, preparing to launch into her regular speech. “Hi my name is Caroline Forbes I uh, I managed to track down your information from a friend of mine and I was wondering if you could---” Her words stopped abruptly, voice catching in her throat as she looked at him. “Nice eye make up.”

The Ancient One and Karl Mordo. It has one thing on AO3. Most of the content about it can be found in the ship tag on my Ancient One blog. My second-ish ship is her and Kaecilius, but that’s only with @zealotisms and its a weird ship. They’re both far from normal tbh.

Personally I think rare pairs are a bit less stressful at times just because a) its a tighter knit community of shippers, and b) there tends to be less shitty/spam content. Coming from the Silmarillion fandom (which is DEEP, DEEP in Tolkien lore) pretty much all my ships there were rare pairs. That fandom is an outlier though because it was the canon ships that were rare, and the non-canon incest ships were popular as heck. But still, I’d really rather have more content.
