Truer words were never spoken #zebroids #youamess (at Hi-Dive Denver)
Zebroid is the name given to a hybrid between a zebra and any other equine. Exciting specific names have been given to the offspring between zebras and horses ("zorses"), donkeys ("zonkeys", "zedonks" or "donkras"), and ponies ("zonies") including Shetlands ("zetlands"). Like many other hybrids, such as mules, zebroids are usually sterile due to an odd number of chromosomes.
The striping pattern can be a mixture of the non-zebra parent's colour and a zebra's stripes, but not always. The top picture above is of Eclyse, a cross between a zebra mare and horse stallion (a hebra rather than a zorse) who has white patches due to her father's piebald genes.
